Charm And Potential Live in East Dallas’ Old Lake Highlands

Share News:

Here’s a charming little cottage in East Dallas’ Old Lake Highlands within walking distance to White Rock Lake, Hexter Elementary, and that cool little shopping center that they have totally revamped.

You know, the one with Green Spot, Alfonso’s, El Vecino, Bar Method, etc.? YEAH, BUDDY, that’s the one. Right alongside Buckner Blvd.

Now that you know where we are, let’s take a little trip back through this neighborhood so we can find and fall in love with 581 Classen Drive.

Old Lake Highlands Charm

It’s super cute and loaded with charm and potential. There’s a detached garage out back that’s in the perfect spot for a new freestanding office, art studio, gym, or one-bedroom-I-need-a-minute private retreat. Make it whatever you want!

How is there room for such things? Well, it’s on a pretty generous lot, which is kind of the thing in Old Lake Highlands. This also leads to new builds coming in. Love them or hate them, they’ll keep those property values up.

Too far up? Rant about it in the comments below.

Exit Realty No Limits’ Betsy Troupe lives in nearby and said one of the things she loves the most about the neighborhood is all the mature trees and mix of residents – from original owners to fresh, new families. There’s a little bit of all ages over there.

She said the infrastructure around this little East Dallas pocket just keeps getting better and better and a new Jake’s Game Day recently opened. Yes, Jake’s like the hamburger place.

This house on Classen is fronted by the back of Hill Middle School so no neighbors out front. Just an uninterrupted set of fields when school isn’t in session.

A Big, Lush Backyard

As cute as the interior of this house is, one of the biggest selling points is the backyard. It’s big, lush, and set under a shade tree. The board-on-board fence is a newer addition and has decorative cutouts, metal posts, and a swing gate so you can park out front or behind the gate.

All that plus a pop of fresh green on the front and back doors? Heck yes.

Troupe has 581 Classen Drive listed at $369,000.

OLH is a gem of a neighborhood. Almost 4 years in the neighborhood and we’ve loved everything about it!
