Grab a Dr Pepper And Take a Tour of This Modern Two Story in Dublin

I’m not even 100 percent sure what this is, but I love it. Set in Dublin, Texas, most likely a stone’s throw from the Dr Pepper Museum, there’s an enchanting, perplexing, modern brick structure that’s actually a two-story home.

Built in 1968, it has a timeless design that looks just as modern today as it did back then. It has a very commercial feel, a perfect square with windows tucked in the corner. I’m dying to know who built this and why. Don’t worry, I’ll dig around and send you a follow-up. But in the interest of not making you miss out on a potential Airbnb, here are the details we DO know.

Not only is this a brick structure on the outside, but the majority of the downstairs flooring is also brick. Upstairs, it’s wide wood planks. The bedrooms are huge, too. Do you know what else is huge? That two-story bookcase with a ladder. And the equally tall peek-a-boo fireplace. What a stunner. The whole main living room, really, with those soaring-est ceilings, the brick, and the books, it’s super cozy.

On the other side of the fireplace, there’s a window-lined dining room with views of your incredibly spacious backyards. This home is set on over an acre so the backyard is an understatement.

Adjacent to the dining room is the galley kitchen with what appears to be the original cabinets and Formica in exceptional shape. This home was ahead of its time. To use a really gross modern expression, it’s checking a lot of boxes!!

Check away, little house that isn’t so little. From the outside, it looks like a nice little compact house, but inside it’s actually just over 2,500 square feet with three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and one half-bath.

A little more about Dublin? It’s the home to five museums, two hours south of Dallas, and two hours northwest of Austin. It’s the Irish Capital of Texas and they have tons of events to prove it.
