Find This Cute-as-a-Button Tudor With Original Touches in Oakhurst

I have been beating the drum for Oakhurst for years now. It’s five minutes from downtown, near to. If it’s ever completed, the Trinity Vision Project will pull heaps of investor money and development in its wake — a boon for the neighborhood — and, it’s still, in my view unbelievably underpriced.

The trade-off for undervalued pricing is usually that listings in this quaint enclave have “lots of potential.” That’s real estate agent speak for “needs work.”

Not so for 2513 Daisy Lane, where the owners have kept the original best and updated the rest.

Built in the Tudor style with a manicured lawn, there’s plenty of curb appeal. The front of the house has been opened up into appealing seating areas. This is the correct application often misguided open-concept floor plans — creating a sense of airy space with limited square footage.

“Cute as a button” may be doing the house an injustice. The decor is rather sophisticated.

Cabinets appear original and I’m OK with that. They’re clean, functional and go all the way to the ceiling providing maximum storage. The glass doors on the uppers add charm. Appliances have been updated including the massive fridge.

This, like many cottages in Oakhurst, were built as two-bedroom, one-bath houses. Happily, the owners have added a second bath. The black-and-white scheme is maintained down to bath fittings and ceiling fans. The bath features a bold melange of tiles.

There is a deck, a large backyard, and a one-car garage at back. The house has a new roof and HVAC system thrown into the bargain. This listing has been on the market for all of five days and I’m willing to wager by this time next week it will be under contract.
