It’s Summertime And The Livin’ is Easy in This East Dallas Home

Well, what a cute little cutie. I love a remodeled home where they added color, some fun textures (tile), and did things a little differently.

And that’s what we have here presented by Clay Stapp + Co.’s Elissa Genova. She’s all about the location in the listing, and it’s a good one. White Rock Lake is super close, and so is our old friend Casa Linda and that verdant megascape of green, the Dallas Arboretum.

It doesn’t hurt that these sellers have great style, and sometimes when you see that cool-as-heck décor you say, “Oh, cool people live here? Okay, I could live here, too.”

What’s the hurdle to this house?

One bathroom. But isn’t it a good one? Look at that dark grout popping against the white tile and then dang, a terracotta wall? Feels so modern. Hit me with a blown glass vase on the toilet tank and I think we just might be living in a CB2 catalog.

Original maple hardwoods run throughout most of the living spaces. An open kitchen with cool slats added where the window used to be that says, “Hey, I’m open, but not too open.” Just a touch of something fresh.

Love the green utility room, and hey, speaking of green, check out that massive backyard that’s pretty legit. There’s a concrete pad patio out back and a firepit floating in the backyard.

The lot backs up to a wooded area for extra privacy.

Out front they created a low maintenance seating area with gravel and a grid of pavers — really thoughtful modern touches to make this house standout. Yay. Plus a double dip on the galvanized steel planters? You could add a lot of fun plants for a pop of even more green.

Great color choices all around on this one. Love the dark gray exterior against the red brick. It makes the house feel effortlessly stylish. I’m always so impressed when people just nail the heck out of it. If you’d like to see more, head here.

Or just head to the East Dallas enclave of Casa View Haven where Genova has 1828 Naylor Street listed for $330,000.
