Moving To Halo Group Realty Is Paying Off For Jamie Buck

Last summer Jamie Buck decided to join his good friend Kevin Caskey at Halo Group Realty. The two have known each other for two decades and met for dinner to discuss business the previous year. It took some time for Buck to finally take the plunge, but he hasn’t looked back since.

“I basically moved because of Kevin and Halo’s real estate reputation,” Buck said.

After three years in the business, Buck is relatively independent with how he runs his business. However, he still occasionally has a random question or issue that only longtime industry veterans can help with. According to him, the team at Halo Group Realty has been extremely generous in sharing their knowledge and helping him navigate the complexities of the real estate industry.

In addition to being an active real estate agent, Buck has also owned a medical equipment company for the past 17 years. The company had reached a point where employees could handle most of the day-to-day operations, leaving him only responsible for the financials. In search of his next challenge, he went to real estate school to embark on his next career.

“It takes a little while in Dallas, and I think any major metropolitan area, to break into real estate because there are so many Realtors,” he says. “I’m now at a point where I’m working off referrals and getting things going. Everything is taking off.”

Of course, a background in sales has helped. He says he’s been blessed with the ability to conversate, make friends, and meet new people.

He considers real estate his “fun job.” In addition to the many people he gets to meet, he also thoroughly enjoys the search process of learning what his clients want and then finding it for them. Touring houses also gives him many great ideas for things he can incorporate into his own home.

Much of Buck’s business so far has been in and around the 75209 ZIP code, which encompasses neighborhoods adjacent to Love Field like Bluffview, the Lovers and Inwood area, and the outskirts of the Park Cites.

Having lived in Dallas since 1995, he feels well-prepared to handle deals all over the area and is ready to go wherever the business takes him.

Looking ahead, Buck says his main goal is to keep getting busier and busier. His personality drives him to stay busy, and he believes his move to Halo is helping him do just that.

“It’s just been a fantastic move and I wouldn’t take it back for the world,” he says.
