This modern Tudor in Hollywood Heights is a perfect fit for those that love the look of a historic home but don’t want the headaches!

As you sweep around the side of Lindsley Park in Hollywood Heights, you’ll find a little surprise. There is an unexpected section of homes called Kensington Gardens. While new construction is dotted throughout the neighborhood, this is the only place you find a cohesive street of homes that were begun in 2016.

Right now, there are only 28 of these modern Tudor houses built by Megatel, and they seldom come up for sale. This is because while buyers love the look and feel of this classic neighborhood, so many have no time for the renovations and additions in a Conservation District that many residents face if they want to update one of the traditional homes. These modern Tudors are the perfect solution.

Hollywood Heights is well-known for its family-friendly spirit and gracious neighbor’s as well as legendary Halloween, Christmas, and Easter activities. That old-fashioned neighborhood feel is a given here, and it’s another reason homes are hard to find.

This modern Tudor is in the Lakewood  Elementary School zone and conveniently located within walking distance of The Spanish House and The Lindsley Park Community School. You can be on the Santa Fe trail in seconds and bike to White Rock Lake. If you are a golfer, Tennison Golf Course is a five-minute drive.

The game room features a wet bar.

With 3,652-square-feet, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and one powder bath, this is also a Certified Energy Star home with easy to maintain turfed outdoor spaces and a covered patio.

“The present owners have loved the flexibility of this home,” Paragon Realtors listing agent Britt Lopez said. “For instance, although the owner’s ensuite bedroom is downstairs, for a few years, they used the game room as their principal bedroom to be close to the children when they were young.”

Love the brick patterns on the front facade and lovely home! Though, in the kitchen, cabinets should be painted to contrast with floors, too much wood, imo. 😉
