There are only so many words to describe a home. Unfortunately, the Realtor community — Bow Tie Realtor included — latches onto certain words and phrases when describing a property, which has a tendency to make them less impactful.

You know what I’m referring to — “gourmet” or “chef’s kitchen,” “attention to detail,” “custom cabinets,” “professional-grade,” “soaring ceilings,” “open concept floor plan” — you get the idea. I’m sure there is a drinking game with over-used words and phrases out there somewhere for Realtors.

If you think the master bath is precise – wait to see the exactness of the closets

Touring this home in the TCU area of Fort Worth, two different words came to mind: “precise” and “thoughtful.” These are not typical words used to describe a home priced at $2.1 million, but in my opinion, perfect words for this 2017-built home. Let me explain.

Built in 2017 – a lot of thought went into the design of this home

The Definition of “Precise”

Typically when using the word “precise” or “precision,” it’s describing an expensive automobile or having to do with something that exactly how it’s supposed to be. The 4,335 square-foot home of four bedrooms and four-and-one-half bathrooms is the definition of precise.

Upon entry you will notice precision in every facet of the home. From the flooring to the placement of the light fixtures — everything is exact.

One of the precise features that immediately caught my eye is the hand-painted walls, doors, and trim throughout the home.

The entry. Notice the gold accent precisely painted on the trim.

Various walls are Venetian plaster, which is quite a feat, but the main detail that impressed me was the gold accent trim found on the base trim, door casings, and cabinet fronts. Not only does that element take an amazing amount of time to paint with a steady hand, but shows just how much the owner, designer, and craftsman cared about every little part of the home.

Truly impressive.

The Epitome of “Thoughtful”

Yes, I just used the word “thoughtful” on a $2.1 million home just blocks from the TCU football facility on Stadium Drive. Everywhere you turn there are items in the home that just make sense. Here are a few of those thoughtful features:

  1. Full-sized, built-in separate fridge and freezer in the kitchen
  2. Double dishwashers
  3. Built-in desk in the hallway to the master suite
  4. Additional sinks throughout the home
  5. Multiple outdoor grilling stations
  6. Upstairs and downstairs laundry rooms
  7. Built-in decorative bricks to hang towels by the pool
  8. Artificial grass around the pool — no clippings from mowing
Notice the blocks along the wall by the pool – those are for hanging

Those are just a few of the thoughtful highlights in this home. If you have the chance to tour it you will find yourself saying, “Well, that makes sense!”

Well-thought-out touches of purpose and precision separate this home from other large, beautiful, custom, designer, expensive, open-concept floor plan homes. (See what I did there?)

A tremendous amount of thought went into the main laundry room.

This home should be experienced in person. If you have the opportunity, let me know if you think “precision” and “thoughtful” are the right words to describe this beautiful home.
