A University Park Cottage Transformed Down to the Studs

A scrapper. That’s how Debbie Grayson, founder of TLC Contract Group, describes the home at 3404 Purdue Avenue in University Park at first glance. But upon a closer look and realizing its potential, she knew the 1930-built home was a real keeper.

“The house just needed some help,” she says.

She took the house down to the studs and totally revamped it with new interior and exterior paint, new landscaping, a completely updated kitchen, and an additional 400+ square feet. The result is a charming one-and-half story cottage with a large front porch and an open floor plan that’s perfect for a young family or empty nesters.

3404 Purdue Ave features four bedrooms, three and half baths, and 3,008 square feet.

It features a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinets, quartz counters, and new appliances. It has two living areas, a primary bedroom downstairs with a spacious master bath including a large shower, freestanding tub, double vanities, and a sizable owner’s closet.

Carol Brewster with Marquett Brewster has listed 3404 Purdue Ave for $1.395 million.
