One-on-One With George Ratiu, Senior Economist for Realtor.com

I first met George Ratiu at NAREE, then again at MetroTex, and liked him immediately. Then I discovered we shared a common ethnic heritage: we are both Romanian! My maternal grandparents were Romanian, my grandmother emigrating when she was 12. She had six children, supported them all through the Great Depression. Tough doesn’t even begin to describe her.

He was born and raised in Romania.
