If life does, in fact, go on, then let’s not deny ourselves of a peek inside this Mapleton Drive home just minutes from White Rock Lake. It’s only been on the market for two weeks and it’s got an incredible price tag of $329,000.

We’ve learned over the past couple of weeks that life must go on, in spite of grocery shortages, delivery delays, and unexpected cancellations. And of course, shelter-in-place orders.

We like to think of ourselves as resilient, and so we adapt, and share friendly reminders on social media about how we think our friends should live their lives (those are always well-received).

If life does, in fact, go on, then let’s not deny ourselves of a peek inside this Mapleton Drive home just minutes from White Rock Lake. It’s only been on the market for two weeks and it’s got an incredible price tag of $329,000.

All The Frills

The ranch/traditional home at 1724 Mapleton Drive features three bedrooms and two and one-half bathrooms on a huge 7,000-plus-square-foot lot.

“The galley kitchen, tastefully updated, retains its original charm while offering granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a ceiling-mounted vent hood,” said Realtor Katie Lopez of Dave Perry-Miller—Park Cities.

This house has a lot going on.

Built in 1961, it has weathered some storms, but it also has several updates.

The roof was replaced and new carpet was installed just last year. A tankless water heater was added in 2015.

It’s freshly painted, with a slate fireplace and neutral tones ready for whatever decor you’re feeling. The master suite includes a sitting area and an attached bathroom with two built-in vanities.

“The living space is open to dining and [there is a] great view of the inviting front yard,” Lopez said. “Enjoy morning coffee in the spacious sunroom. Enjoy the expansive yard with mature trees and privacy fence.”

School Daze

Since the Mapleton home is move-in ready, there’s not a lot to consider. The proximity to White Rock Lake and the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is enough of a reason to put this house on your shortlist.

While Dallas ISD remains temporarily closed for on-site classroom education, we and the majority of the state’s population have our fingers crossed that COVID-19 shall pass.

Katie Lopez of Dave Perry-Miller – Park Cities listed 1724 Mapleton Drive, Dallas, for $329,000.
