You Are Now Entering Wylie City Limits

Wylie

“What county is Wylie located in?” Typically I can name off the county pretty easily for most all north Texas cities, but this week’s Suburb Sunday had me stumped. Now I see why. “Wylie is a city and northeastern suburb of Dallas, that was once solely located in Collin County, but now extends into neighboring Dallas and Rockwall Counties,” my friend Wikipedia tells me.

Just like the zig zag of Wylie’s city limits, the city is uniquely served by a variety of school districts. For example, most of Collin County Wylie is served by Wylie ISD, though a small portion is served by Princeton and Plano school districts. The Dallas County portion of the city is served by Garland ISD, while the Rockwall County portion is served by Rockwall ISD. Crystal clear, right?

Maybe the geography is a little confusing in Wylie, but the inventory of well-priced starter homes is pretty impressive for a centrally-located suburb that’s no farther north than Allen. Here are three great homes we found in the $200k-$300k range. Take a look:
