How does a four-day weekend of partying sound? Get ready because the legendary Hollywood Heights Home Tour is changing a few things up, and pulling out all the stops this year.

Hollywood Heights is an eclectic East Dallas conservation district neighborhood. It is well known for having one of the largest collections of stone-embellished Tudor Revival homes in America. You’ll also find plenty of Spanish and French Eclectic, Minimal Traditional, Craftsman, and Monterrey style homes. There are even and two Flat-Roofed Pueblo Revival style houses.

I think this is the best home tour in town. I may be a bit biased because I’ve called Hollywood Heights home since 1990. Kids can still bike up and down the street, everyone knows your dog’s name, a lot of us drink wine in our front yards, and yes, we will invite you to join us. And we know how to party. From our annual Newellian Easter Parade to Liz Simmons’ nationally known Halloween and Christmas events, we do nothing by half measures.

This year the party begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday. There’s still plenty of time to bedazzle your cape or hot glue some feathers to that showgirl headdress in the back of your closet for the Viva Las Vegas themed casino night. There will be poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, slot machines, music, food, and of course adult beverages. Remember, this is only the first night.

This neighborhood knows if you’ve been up gambling all night on Thursday, then you start your Friday late, very late. In fact, take the day off, sleep in, then head over for a sneak peek at the five featured homes from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Candlelight Tour has been transformed into a Wine Walk which is completely sensible for this fun-loving neighborhood. I’ve already previewed all five, and you are in for a treat! I’ll just say there is a casita that will make you think you are on a beach in Tulum, a shoe closet Carrie Bradshaw would approve of, and additions that will knock your socks off.

If you miss the Friday night event, no worries, Saturday and Sunday tour hours are from noon to 5 p.m.

For those of you with kids, we have you covered. This year enjoy the first-ever Spring Kids Fest at Lindsley Park on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m.

If you love a good home tour, and you like to party, get your tickets today!

Tickets available at HSMNA.org and at Curiosities Antiques in the Lakewood Shopping Center for $15.
They will also be available at the door of each home on tour days for $20.
