Bent Tree contemporary

I want this house. I know all we writers at CandysDirt.com could say that a few times a week, but this home at 5414 Harbor Town Drive in Bent Tree is so crush-worthy that I’m fighting the urge to stop writing and start moving.  A classic contemporary nestled on a half-acre lot, this 4,921-square-foot home at the Bent Tree Country Club 13th tee box overlooks rolling terrain, a creek, and a waterfall. This Harbor Town home is five bedrooms and five baths for $795,000.

Wood inlay walls and flooring, two-story ceilings, and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace wow you as you walk in and survey the large step-down living room. Hidden away is a giant 160 x 90-inch ceiling to floor movie screen with state of the art theater projector.

The kitchen appears to be original to this 1981-built house with a double oven, electric cooktop, indoor griddle, and trash compactor. There’s plenty of granite countertop space, including an island and breakfast bar, for kitchen prep here. You can gaze out onto the golf course with floor-to-ceiling picture windows in the breakfast nook.

There are more big, beautiful windows in the spacious master bedroom that has vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beam, recessed lighting, and a sitting area fireplace. The master bath features his and hers vanity sinks and cabinetry, as well as a garden tub and separate shower.

This home in exclusive Bent Tree is an 80s treasure, full of rich woods and textures that embody this soft contemporary style of the time. Centrally located and zoned for Plano ISD schools, including Mitchell Elementary, Frankford Middle School, Shepton High School, and Plano West Senior High. This home is listed by Jana Hayes of Jana Hayes Realty.
