If you’re looking for a first home, this adorable 1948 Traditional at 1204 S. Waverly Dr. may be cozy at 1,484 square feet, but the three-bedroom, two-bath home has had some wonderful updates that make it a great option.

Listed by Ronnie Russell with JP & Associates, the home has an open floor plan that is perfect for entertaining, with new laminate wood floors throughout the two living spaces, new kitchen cabinets and a marble slab island with drop-in electric stovetop.

Three bedrooms are carpeted, and the two bedrooms have new, modern finishes.

The home is listed for $279,900.

FAR NORTH DALLAS STUNNER WITH POOL

Open houses: Thursday, Nov. 14 — Sunday, Nov. 18, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

When we saw this remarkable Traditional, our first thought was that well, it looked rather Traditional. But inside, a total remodel has taken advantage of unique design elements and made the home bright, light, and ready for entertaining.

This two-story, four-bedroom, three-bath home at 7359 Briarnoll Dr. E., is top-to-bottom incredible. The main floor has new wide-plank wood floors, a fireplace, designer paint colors, and tray ceilings.

The kitchen has solid surface quartz countertops, new stainless steel appliances, a subway tile backsplash, and statement light fixtures.

The master suite has a spacious walk-in closet, freestanding shower, and a soaking tub — and the other two bathrooms have also been updated with new vanities, quartz counters, new tile, and polished chrome fixtures.

Outside, a large patio overlooks a pool ready for summer entertaining.

The home is listed by Hunter Fendley with Bungalo for $499,000.

TRANSFORMED SHERWOOD GLEN ESTATES ABODE

Open Houses: Saturday, Nov. 17 and Sunday, Nov. 18, 1-4 p.m.

When Geno McNeil with Keller Williams Realty emailed us this week to let us know about this Sherwood Glen Estates home coming on the market this week, we knew he had something special.

“This home was built in 1967 and until this past July only had one owner,” he told us of his yet-to-be listed 9415 Sherwood Glen. “My clients, Abadie Performance Properties, purchased it and have transformed the house into a beautiful space.”

Abadie Performance Properties has done several projects in the area, including another East Dallas address – 11639 Farrar St.

This current property has 3,660 square feet of living space, and four bedrooms, four full baths, and one powder room. There is also a sauna and a mother-in-law suite.

And it sits on just over half an acre of land on a secluded street.

“Most people drive right past the street and never know what is back there,” McNeil said.

The home will be priced under $675,000, he added.
