Mark Cain Take Team to Compass

Realtor Mark Cain has moved to Compass Real Estate. “The decision to move was not made lightly as I invested nearly nine months researching the company to verify its track record and growth path,” Cain said. “Now that I’m here it is clear that Compass was the right choice for my business home.“

Cain said he came away impressed with Compass’ management team as well as its technology, marketing, advertising, and support personnel. Also attractive to him was the fact that everyone works from a centralized location, and that the office itself is open and user-friendly with lots of space.

“The whole move was a decision to offer more tools and strategies that will enable me to better serve my clients,” he said.

Making the move along with him were agents Taylor Cousins, Ronnie McDearman, Stan Williams, and Ace Lahli. Cain says that he expects other agents to join soon, so stand by for continued growth.

“We love working together. It is an association of professionals but it’s really more like a family,” he said. “We don’t just like and respect each other- we truly love and care for each other.”

A Dallas resident for the past three decades, Cain has been voted one of D Magazine’s “Best Real Estate Agents” every year since 2003, with an average annual sales volume of $50 million. He is a fine homes specialist who works primarily with high-end luxury properties. His business will continue to be largely based in the Park Cities, Preston Hollow, Uptown, and North Dallas markets.

“I’d like to thank everyone in my past for their support and encouragement over the years,” Cain said. “I am very grateful for the experiences I’ve had throughout my career and I’m excited to take my business to the next level.”

Britt Rhodes Chooses Briggs Freemen Sotheby’s

Britt Rhodes said the opportunity to work for an established international company with vast resources and opportunities to branch out led her to join Brigs Freeman Sotheby’s.

“I’m very excited about Britt joining us,” Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s President and CEO Robbie Briggs said. “She’s an experienced agent that will be in our Lakewood office.  She owns property in Colorado and is extremely excited about our network and being able to refer business back and forth from there.”

Rhodes began her career on the developer side where she learned a great deal about both commercial and residential building concepts. Through the experience, she gained a wealth of market knowledge that she would later put to good use. When she had her daughter, Rhodes decided to move full-time into residential real estate so that she could have a schedule that allowed for more flexibility.

“What I love about residential real estate is that it’s so unique and different. It’s all relationship based and referral driven,” she said. “I think that’s how I’ve grown everything from the beginning by just focusing on people.”

Rhodes is based in East Dallas where the bulk of her local business has been.  However, like any good agent, she says she’s willing to go wherever she needs to be.

These days, Rhodes spends a lot of time volunteering at White Rock Elementary where her daughter attends school. She been active with DFW Angels, an organization started last year to help kids navigate the foster care system. Rhodes and her husband are also very involved with Wipe Out Kids Cancer. Last year, they  hosted a large carnival for the organization.

“It’s a really neat program that does a lot of wonderful work,” she said.

While Rhodes came to Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s on her own, she said that won’t be the case for long.  Plans are already in the works to add two additional agents by the beginning of 2019.

“There are some really exciting things to come and I’m really looking forward to the future,” Rhodes said.
