Did you make a resolution to exercise more in the New Year? Sticking with a resolution can be tough: 80 percent of resolutions fail before the second week of February. If you want to be part of the 20 percent that makes lasting lifestyle changes, one of the best ways to stick with your #fitnessgoals is to bring the gym to you. This week we’re featuring the best apartment gyms in our city, focusing on Dallas apartments with state-of-the-art fitness centers and sports courts. In these luxury apartments, treadmills and kettlebells are just a few steps away (so no more excuses)!

Camden Farmers Market

These downtown Dallas apartments offer two fitness centers in addition to three pools and an indoor basketball court for days when you want a different type of workout. Trying to eat healthier this year? Camden Farmers Market apartments are located a short walk from the Dallas Farmers Market where you can stock up on fresh fruits and veggies.

Strata

Located in the Henderson neighborhood, the Strata offers beautiful views of Dallas skyline. These luxury apartments include a gym equipped with weight machines and dumbells, perfect if your resolution is to build muscle this year. Better yet, there’s fire pits and a hot tub to kick back after a hard sweat sesh.

Sylvan | Thirty

These West Dallas apartments offer beautiful studios and lofts, plus a state-of-the-art fitness facility with views of the Dallas skyline. Sylvan | Thirty is a hub of activity in the community, with farmers markets and public art displays. For renters trying to eat clean, the mixed-use building is also home to Cox Farms Market, a local, organic grocery market with farm-fresh produce, artisan breads, and a high-quality butcher.

LTV Tower Apartments

These brand-new luxury apartments located in downtown Dallas feature granite counters, stainless steel appliances, soundproof theater walls, large walk-in closets, and hardwood acacia flooring. The LTV Tower Apartments offer a wide range of amenities including a gym and an infinity-style cocktail pool.

Trinity Loft

These trendy lofts are located in the heart of the Dallas Design District, with quick access to I-35, I-30, the Dallas North Tollway, and Woodall Rogers. Trinity Loft offers a gym within the building and is walking distance from Victory Park and Katy Trail if you want to take your workout outdoors with a jog or a bike ride.

Hunter’s Hill

These apartments offer both a fitness center and a pool, plus basketball, racquetball, and volleyball courts for days where you’re feeling sporty. The spacious, home-y apartments each offer elegant hardwood floors, built-in bookshelves, and wood-burning fireplaces. Each apartment includes an oversized patio or balcony, the perfect spot to sip on that post workout shake.

Whether you’re trying to squat more weight, run your fastest mile on the treadmill, or build those biceps, these Dallas apartments offer the fitness centers needed to achieve your 2018 goals. Plus, with plenty of other luxury amenities — pools, rooftop decks, media rooms — you can work hard and play hard.

Great rundown of the gyms in the local apartment complexes! My sister, who is moving to the area within the year (yay!) has a “must have” list – and a nice apartment gym is at the top of it. I’ll be sharing this post with her for sure.

How on earth did you come up with this list? Just off the top of my head The Taylor and Gallery at Turtle Creek have absolutely spectacular gyms that put any of these to shame, McKinney Uptown doesn’t have the largest or most up to date gym but has floor to ceiling windows overlooking Turtle Creek and Uptown from the 10th floor.

Our guest columnist, Sydney Bennet, is a researcher and analyst with Apartment List. The data and reviews used to determine this list came from that site.

That said, we’d love to cover more properties with great amenities, so if you know of a development with top-notch facilities, please shoot us a line!

Strata is my favourite. There is nothing better than a short rest with such beautiful views after an exhausting training… Or just have a little fun in the hot bathtub ^^

do you know of any apt complexes that have spin classes at their gym?

    • Joanna England on August 28, 2018 at 8:15 am

That’s a good question! Not off-hand, but with how amenity driven some complexes in Uptown and downtown Dallas are, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that some of the high-rise buildings offer spin.
