This year’s lineup for the AIA Dallas Tour of Homes is mighty impressive. Not only can you see the incredible details inside Todd Hamilton’s modern farmhouse on Durango, but there are so many other interesting and innovative designs and remodels on this year’s tour.

“The homes selected for this year’s tour were meticulously reviewed, carefully deliberated and selected,” said Tour of Homes committee co-chair Daniel Day, AIA of Perkins and Will. “The homes represent innovative concepts, superior design elements and overall architectural excellence.”

We could not be more thrilled about the lineup, too, as the two-day, open-to-the-public tour will include NIMMO’s sustainable monolith in Urban Reserve, as well as an extensively renovated midcentury ranch near White Rock Lake from Est. 11 Architecture. You can see the other homes on tour right here.

And as a little bonus to our loyal CandysDirt.com readers, we have three pairs of tickets to give away to this year’s tour slated for Nov. 14-15. However, if you don’t want to take your chances, be sure to buy your passes here. Jump to find out how you can win!

  1. Comment below telling us which home you’re most looking forward to touring this year,
  2. email [email protected] with your full name and phone number by noon on Monday, Nov. 9.

That’s it! We look forward to announcing the winners on Monday!

I am looking forward to viewing the 2150 square foot home by Josh Nimmo.
I can remember when a home this size was huge by national standards !

I have yet to see Urban Reserve so am most excited about the Vanguard Way property. Of course each and so many have their own exciting reasons…. Browder for its forward thinking for the location, Durango for its simple modern design, Winding Lane for its more LA style we rarely see in Dallas, etc. etc. Can’t wait!

I am most intrigued in viewing all the homes in this years AIA Dallas home tour , however I am most certainly looking forward to seeing the 3974 DURANGO DRIVE by Todd Hamilton Architects

I most interested in seeing the Modern Farmhouse on Durango Drive. I like the blend of modern and classic farmhouse styling and am interested to see how they have executed the interiors.

They all look so great! I’m especially looking forward to the Shipley Architects home. A balance of industrial vibe and a cool courtyard. It looks SO livable. Thanks!

I’m very much excited to see 3972 Durango Drive by Todd Hamilton.
It’s such a beautiful contemporary version of the farmhouse and I’m obsessed with wrap around porches since Dallas has so many great weather days to just sit outside, enjoy the sunrise or sunset, and possibly have a glass of wine. Plus did I see that there’s an outdoor room? Omg yes!
The finishes on the interior also look similar to my taste and the photos make the floor plan look open and adaptable for a family or to host a party!

All of the homes are amazing! But I especially want to see Vanguard Way.

I’m excited to see ALL of the houses on the tour! I have very recently (in the past week) relocated from Houston, and one of my goals is to have the opportunity to see the wonderful architecture in Dallas (and hopefully build a home that is tour-worthy)!

The Urban Reserve looks fascinating from the outside, so we want to see it from the inside!

I actually live in the Urban Reserve, but haven’t toured this house yet, so I am looking forward to it!

I really like the Tatum Brown Home on Royal Lane. I very recently moved here from Chicago because I need to enjoy more sunshine, sunshine, and did I say sunshine. The windows on this home are gorgeous and I like the philosophy of the builder. I believe your home should be an extension of you and hug you when you come home every day

The modern farmhouse looks great…can’s wait to see it!

The minimalist farmhouse on Durango captivated my attention UNTIL I saw the photos and write-up on the gorgeous home in the Cedars on Browder. What a great addition to a neighborhood with so much potential!

Agreed! I’m extremely excited about the Durango modern farmhouse, but can’t wait to see the Cedars residence. Hopefully it will establish some sort of precedent for the future of the neighborhood’s buildout, whenever that really ramps up. There’s SO
