Look at this house, please, before you hit “more”. Tell me where it is located. I’ll bet you $20 you guessed University Park, am I right? The home was built in 1984, sports 3285 square feet on .25 acres. There are four bedrooms, three full and one half baths, and two living areas not counting the expansive backside porch. Bow bay windows, a thoroughly modern kitchen and scrumptious hardwood floors throughout. The asking price is $599,000.

The price is so reasonable because of the location in Dallas: east of Central in an addition called Pebble Creek. Richardson schools: Merriman Park Elementary, Lake Highlands High School. The house is a one-owner home that has been updated in all the right places, which is just about everywhere. I would not be surprised if the garage was in as pristine condition as the entire house. I mean, this is how we OCD folks like to live — floors so clean you could eat breadcrumbs right off them. But of course, these folks are so OCD that breadcrumbs have never whisked the floors.

To the right is the formal living room with French brown parquet floors and panelled ceiling. Other rooms, such as the kitchen, sport cathedral ceilings. Still others are coffered. Speaking of the kitchen, it has pretty granite countertops, a Viking range, stainless refrigerator, and three sets of French doors to let the sunshine in. There is a double oven and convection oven as well as the requisite dishwasher. The master bedroom features a sitting area, walk in closets and a gorgeous spa bath. Even the downstairs laundry room is oversized, features a sink and a drain in the floor.

There are two fireplaces, Marvin wood windows, and many more wonderful extras and details. The curb appeal of this home is rocking it. But that price! Will it hold?

There is a very generous backyard, capped off by the two car garage. No pool, but plenty of room to put one in, design it yourself. The good folks at Inwood Mortgage are only too happy to get you squared away in this house, and something tells me they would just love to dive into a great pool deal! Splash! Listed with Glen Christy and Nicole Thomas over at Nathan Grace Real Estate LLC. But you’d better hurry: just went on the MLS September 8.

This home could have SIX offers by Friday!

Beautiful house and CNT does a good job. You’re right, I would have guessed UP. It seems like this part of Lake Highlands has some of the best houses, even if it’s not as trendy as White Rock Valley.
