Candy Talking USA Film Festival Dallas on Good Morning Texas With Jane McGarry & Carrie McClure

Thanks to Stanton Brasher over at the Dallas Observer, who says this year’s USA Film Festival Dallas may be the biggest ever. EVER! Music to my ears, because the movies are worth getting out of the house for, even for house porn lovers like me:
They say when one door closes, another one opens. Well, in the case of big D film festivals, when one ends its yearly run, another begins. Starting on Wednesday at The Angelika in Dallas, the USA Film Festival will open for its 2015 showcase of Texas and American independent films.
This looks to be a big year for the 42 year old festival. On top of its slate of films, the celebrities will be out in full force. This year, Ernie Hudson, Lisa Loeb, Stephen Tobolowsky, Emmy winner Margot Martindale, and heavy metal icon Pat Boone will be in attendance.
This may be one of the biggest years for the festival yet. Here are the top 5 films to look for at this year’s USA Film Festival:
Stanton (love his name and it’s movie-like quality) mentions these five, but in a few hours I’ll be talking about Dior & I, IRIS, Sharing the Rough, Windsor, and Helicopter Mom… that wouldn’t be me, now, would it?
I even get to wear a 14 carat stone from Sharing the Rough, a film about how colored gemstones are excavated, mined and made into jewelry.
What was that duck’s name? If you know, and can be the FIRST one to tell us the duck’s name in the comments, I can get you into the movie of your choice this week as my guest!
Tune in around 9 a.m. And check out this year’s schedule for the USA Film Festival Dallas: movies begin April 22 and I will be there almost every night… after blogging!
Wasn’t the duck’s name Gertrude?
DING DING DING! Gertrude it was, and you win! Holler at me so I can get you set up!
Candy, way to go!
