We asked some really tough questions of our readers, who are pretty dang smart about Dallas history. But of all the responses we received only one person could win! Drumroll please!!!

CONGRATULATIONS ASHLEY LEECOCK!

Ashley was the Quick Draw McGraw of the 12 correct replies we received. Participants had to answer all three questions correctly. In fact, we got one response that made us second-guess the answer to question No. 2. So we had to consult Dallas City Archivist John Slate for the answer.

1) Every Easter, this street inside Hollywood Heights throws an outrageous parade full of funky floats and silly string. What street is it? Newell

2) There is one park that serves Hollywood/Santa Monica. Who was the park named for? Former Mayor and Parks Board chair Henry D. Lindsley.

3) Hollywood/Santa Monica was the first-ever Conservation District in Dallas. When was it established? 1989

To all the folks who didn’t score a pair of tickets to the home tour, don’t worry! You can still buy your passes from the Hollywood Santa Monica Neighborhood Association today! Want a sneak peek at two of the amazing homes on this year’s tour? Check out our Q&As with Joe Kacynski and Tiffany Diederich, whose amazing properties will be featured on this fantastic annual event!
