Perdue homeThis is one of those stories that just makes us wonder what makes some people tick, how they are wired and why. Every time we look at this home on Villanova, we will think of Erika Susan Perdue.

In June, 2012, federal agents raided Erika Perdue’s $1.5 million University Park home, and she was arrested for peddling graphic child porn on her computer. At the time, the home was in the name of Perdue’s spouse, Dallas attorney Mark Douglas Perdue.

The Perdue home, which was built in 2010, is right across the street from a child’s park.

The US Attorney’s office says: “Perdue knowingly mailed, transported and shipped interstate commerce by any means, including by computer, visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.”

In September of 2013, Perdue, plead guilty to the charges, admitting she spent her days in U.P. trading child pornography while her attorney husband was off working. For 13 years, in fact, this was her life. Her admission was a part of a plea deal for a sentence of 14 years in a federal prison.

All this had to be approved by a judge, and U.S. District Judge Sam A. Lindsay approved the sentencing today, reluctantly. He said he had concerns about the case, citing more than 4,000 images of child pornography found on Perdue’s computer. He said said prosecutors have rarely agreed to such sentence reductions in the past.

And he was also concerned that initially, Perdue had not shown any remorse for her actions.

According to court docs, Perdue confessed to “file-sharing child pornography every day” from the computer in this 4,073 square foot home DCAD lists in excellent condition. The home is still valued at $1.266 million. It now appears in the name of her husband, Mark Douglas Perdue.

Erika Perdue had been trading child porn since 1999, and had such a large collection of material that she’d lost track of it over the years.

Perdue had a user name of “Classybitch”, and how the Feds nabbed her — what she was pushing — makes me so sick I cannot write the words — go check out Eric Nicholson’s story. Obviously, Perdue is a very troubled woman. For the past year and a half she’s been in and out of prison and court. She was briefly released to attend sex offender-specific treatment at a rehab facility in Argyle called the Sante Center for Healing, Anna Merlan reported, but was taken back to prison after attempting suicide.

Her attorney also said that Erika was addicted to methamphetamine’s.

Perdue’s defense attorney, Deborah Goodall, told the judge that her client is a “longtime user of methamphetamine” who used the drug “on a daily basis.” Goodall said Perdue was taking the drug when she was downloading child pornography and asking others online to share their images with her.Erika Perdue sultry
