One of our Twitter followers sent us this listing a few days ago that mentioned having a “Texas Room.” Well, that’s a new one for me!
Truly, when I heard “Texas Room,” I thought of antler chandeliers, framed Texas flags, and perhaps a plethora of leather easy chairs and maybe even some heads mounted on the wall. You know, something like this.
Well, I was wrong, apparently. There is nary an antler or flag in this Farmers Branch listing, but there is a sun room with climate control, which looks like a great place to hang out after taking a dip in the pool. There’s a little bar there, too, which combined with the hot tub, make this area of the home party central.
So is that a Texas Room? Have you heard of the term?

I guess it is like a Florida room. An enclosed porch with an hvac attatched.

If it's a Texas room it's BIG

Yes a Texas room is an enclosed or screened porch area. May or may not have climate control, or just fans.
Our Texas room is L shaped and contains our dining room and living room. It’s almost as big as the park model that it’s attached to! Yes, everything is bigger in Texas. And we’re called Winter Texans, not snowbirds. They love us.
