Wonder Why Some Realtor’s Photos Look So Dang Good?

Share News:

Because they hire photographers who shoot for places like Architectural Digest, Veranda, Luxe and other fine national shelter magazines. That’s Ira Montgomery, one of the best shelter spread photographers in the country, shooting Brian Crawford’s listing at the Ritz Tower I. Ira shot a lot for DHome before budget cuts, and he also shot my home for HOME Magazine which is, unfortunately, no longer in print. (Sigh.)

Thanks for posting this Candy. With my background of 20 plus years as a photo stylist prior to becoming a home stager, and of course many shoots with Ira, this is something I cannot understand why any Realtor or seller would skimp on. EVERYONE sees your house online FIRST. If it is not staged BEAUTIFULLY and photographed BEAUTIFULLY, you are just wasting your time and your money because a house not showcased and shot well means a price reduction. Do not let anyone photograph your home without seeing a portfolio of their work and make sure those photos are actually the work of the person that is shooting for you. Staging and Photography go hand in hand. You cannot do beautiful shots of a messy home and equally you cannot take horrible photos of the most wonderfully staged home. Merchandise your home like the luxury product it actually is!
