”.. a spa? Hotel catering? Daaaang! Walter, Are You Listening?”

.. A spa? hotel catering? “Daaaang! Walter, are you getting this?”

Listening to a representative from the Four Seasons Hotel and Club, Candy realized her  house was missing out on all the amenities the hotel has to offer. Aside from golf, there’s the spa, catering, swimming pools, kids camp, clubhouse for parties, and more.

Many attendees had that same, “Dang my house doesn’t have that” look as they heard about the “surround” provided by Four Seasons. It was the icing on top of the three special homes CandysDirt.com visited last night at the Enclave in Las Colinas.

In case you missed, we’re talking about 4774, 4782 and 4786 Byron Cir. These are three homes facing the 17th hole at the Four Seasons TPC course that’s been home to the Byron Nelson tournament for many years.

Jordan Group 7

I can see jealousy at the Crescent Court

The most pleasantly surprising moments at last evening’s event at The Jordan apartments were not when the the wine flowed out of bottles named “Jordan,” or when we oohed and ahhed over the cove-lit ceilings in the penthouse units. No, it was when we spied residents using the outdoor barbecues.  I’ve lived in many an apartment with communal barbecues where you could get grill marks on your steak without even firing it up … just laying it on the rusty unused grates gave you all the “sear” marks you’d want.

But last night, between tours of The Jordan’s luscious units, I saw a steady stream of residents making their way to the communal barbecues to fix dinner. A little skewered shrimp here, a little salmon there, a big ‘ol steak. It sounds like a small thing, but it hints at a community that feels at home.

Tuesday night, 64 of our closest CandysDirt.com friends spent the evening exploring the Claridge and celebrating the first anniversary of the Staff Meeting events.

As you recall, this was a humdinger event with four simultaneous open houses in the beautiful Claridge on Turtle Creek and Lemmon Avenue (my “Four R” homes).  We all ended up in the wrap-around penthouse for a stunning sunset champagne toast (or two … with a little chocolate, natch!).  For those who may have missed an “R” or two:  REHAB, REMODEL, REFRESH and REJOICE.

Before we see more party pics, I must praise the Claridge staff who valeted all those cars and long-time manager Shirley Black for being so very gracious to our event and guests.

Remember our first Staff Meeting? Well, it’s a “thing” now. This quarter, on June 17th, we’re toodling over to Victory Plaza to celebrate this high-rise stunner at the W before it finds a new owner. Want to attend? Email jo@candysdirt.com.

At the W, the Skyline is your Oyster

At the W, the Skyline is your Oyster

This home is made stunning not only because of the home, but the homeowner’s stunning offer to “repurchase the home in six-months should the new owner be unhappy” (minus some rent, natch). Now that’s confidence you don’t often see in real estate! But seeing this home, I can understand why.

Unit 2508 is a luxurious 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home sprawling over 2,570 square feet including nearly 400 square feet of terrace. The home is being sold by its first owner for $1.25-million. The seller has nothing but wonderful things to say about the home and the W Residences, “If you live at the W, you’ll never want to live anywhere else.” So wonderful has the W experience been that he’s upsizing his family to a 3-bedroom unit just an elevator ride away.
