Rachel Trowbridge recently moved to Allie Beth Allman & Associates after five years with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate.

“I was very happy at Dave Perry-Miller,” Trowbridge said. “It’s a great place but there were a few reasons that made me decide to move.”

Among the factors she cited were the hands-on involvement of Allie Beth and Pierce Allman in both their business and the community.  She was also impressed with the low turnover rate of agents and their ability to network and sell high-end products.

“To be in house with those agents now is just great,” Trowbridge said. “I can learn from them.  It’s exciting to be with high producers that help push you ahead.”

agent migrationThe Taylor Estates Group joined the Prosper/Celina office of Ebby Halliday. The husband and wife team of Angela and Tim Taylor made their agent migration from JP & Associates.

“It was a hard decision and we really prayed about it,” Angela Taylor said. “JP & Associates was like family to us, but at the end of the day it’s a business decision and we just felt like this was the best thing for our business.”

They Taylor Group has closed around $25 million in deals since Sept. 2016. Before going into real estate two years ago, Angela worked in ministry for 15 years. Tim earned his license earlier this year so they could work together. According to Angela, he’s the best at handling business and administrative matters while she is the social butterfly who loves to network

“Together we are kind of like a mullet — he’s the front part while I’m the back,” she joked. (more…)

Bess Dickson said she was excited to go to Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s because it gave her the best tools and opportunities to serve her clients. She recently started there after spending the past two years at Texas Urban Living Realty. Before that she was at Dallas City Center Realtors for several years.

Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s has the same perspective that I do. It’s about relationships and how we can come along side you and help guide you,” she said. “There are so many things about a home that aren’t covered in a pic or online description and can’t be mathematically quantified. That’s what we as real estate professionals can help with.”

After more than 17 years at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, Christopher McGuire has moved to Compass Real Estate. He began the new role on his 13th wedding anniversary.

“I felt that Compass, with their philosophy and tools, gave me the best opportunity to provide better value for my clients,” McGuire said.  “It will also give my clients better tools so that we can collaborate more efficiently.”

The decision was not an easy one for McGuire. His parents, Jackie and Cory McGuire, work at Briggs Freeman and helped him begin his real estate career there back in 2001. They weren’t initially thrilled with his decision, but ultimately understood his reasoning.

As we previously reported, Fort Worth-based real estate super agent John Zimmerman has become the first and newest member of the Fort Worth office of Compass, an upstart technology and real estate company.

Tabbing Zimmerman as agent No. 1 on the Fort Worth roster hardly comes as a surprise.

“I’m having my most successful year,” explained Zimmerman in a recent interview with CandysDirt.com.  “Compass is the most sophisticated company in the real estate world. Why would I jump to a new broker if I didn’t believe that they could offer buyers and sellers a substantial amount more.”

The real estate world is buzzing today as Compass announced that high-profile real estate agent, John Zimmerman, has left Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty to join the New York City-based real estate brokerage that is also a real estate technology company.

“We are excited to be entering Fort Worth with a great partner like John Zimmerman. This is an important market in our growth story,” said Robert Reffkin, founder and CEO of Compass. “We are thrilled to enter the market with a talented and respected agent who is a leader in the community.”

Zimmerman, the proclaimed “$200 Million Dollar Man,” has been a top-producing agent in the Fort Worth and greater North Texas market for the past five years with Briggs Freeman.

Lamb, originally from New York, has lived in Dallas for 26 years.  Prior to landing in Texas she worked in the corporate world, with stops at American Honda and the Toyota Motor Company in Los Angeles.

Yet another high-profile agent has decided to leave a local brokerage for Compass Real Estate. In early June, Phillip Murrell made what he said was the extremely difficult decision to leave Dave Perry-Miller after more than three years. He cited Compass’s technology and innovative marketing as deciding actors.

“I wasn’t looking for a change at all,” Murrell said. “It was one of the hardest decisions professionally that I have made. Lee Thomas and the people over at Dave Perry-Miller are some of the best people in the world.”
