Plano Real Estate
I always dreamed of moving into downtown Dallas, but there just doesn’t seem to be much in the way of family-friendly properties with the amenities I want in the price point our family can appreciate. Still, I love the idea of urban living, being close to shops and restaurants, and having quick access to mass…
I dreamed I watched the Superbowl surrounded in Cowboy blue… and the 49ers won! Funny thing, the folks from Estately.com sent me some cool man caves last week and only one was from a home up north. Not surprising, Texas is home to the most man-caved homes anywhere. Up north I guess you just outfit…
Some days I imagine moving to the suburbs. But it’s my love for East Dallas and everything it has to offer (including being about 15 minutes from downtown, a lake, bike trails, great shopping, awesome neighborhoods, etc.) that keeps me urban instead of suburban.
Still, I look at some of the houses and how much home you can get for your money in a place like, oh, say, the Hickory Ridge subdivision of Plano, and I imagine my suburban home, with two SUVs parked in the garage and a golden retriever.
The first time I met Christen Hixson, she was pregnant with their daughter. That was more than two years ago. Time flies, right? So when I heard that they were planning for baby No. 2, I was sure they’d be selling their Garland townhome for some bigger digs up north. They chose Ebby agent Vicki Perkowski to list the three-bedroom, two-bath townhome for $86,000. They moved to Plano, which will be a great spot for Josh, who has taken up barefoot running.
You had me at “turret!”
Seriously, though, there is so much to love about this historic home in Plano, called “The Roller House.” There are five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and tons of details inside and out of this Queen Anne three-story!
