SAVOR This: Omni PGA Frisco’s New Culinary Fest Reinforces the City’s Luxury Draw

Share News:

When Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa says they are bringing a new kind of luxury food and entertainment experience to North Texas, we thought that was marketing-speak for a nice hybrid of the Taste of Addison and DFW Restaurant Week — minus any turkey leg tents. Nope, this is legit. Today through Sunday, May 4, the resort will debut SAVOR, a four-day culinary and golf festival where tickets for these curated experiences start at $195.

We got to thinking about the Frisco PGA campus yesterday when writing about Deion Sanders’ former home going on the market. When he built it in 1999, Frisco was still “way out” there — and Prosper, where? Now, Frisco is the place to be, and so will this new culinary and golf festival this weekend.

Billed as the resort’s marquee annual event to benefit the North Texas Food Bank, SAVOR will feature celebrity chefs, live music, and a star-studded golf invitational. The festival is expected to draw high-profile talent from the worlds of food, music, and sports, while spotlighting Texas cuisine and culture.

Key Event Highlights:

  • Masters of Taste Dinner (Thursday, May 1): A curated four-course dinner prepared by award-winning chefs, paired with signature cocktails and wines, accompanied by an acoustic musical performance.
    • 7-10 p.m. | $550 per person
  • Fork & Fire Reception (Friday, May 2): A live-fire culinary experience featuring notable chefs and food network stars grilling globally inspired dishes, complemented by cocktails from an acclaimed mixologist and a high energy musical concert.
    • 7-10 p.m. | $295 per person
  • Best of Texas Reception (Saturday, May 3): A Texas-themed celebration featuring award winning, celebrated chefs from across the state, showcasing dishes paired with local spirits and beers. An electric musical concert will close out the night.
    • 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. | $1,250 general admission
  • Margaritas & Mariachis Celebrity Brunch (Sunday, May 4): A vibrant brunch featuring the best Tex-Mex cuisine from across the state, specialty margaritas, mariachi music, and a showcase of celebrity chefs and mixologists.
    •  7-10 p.m. | $395 per person

“This is an incredibly special place, and we’re excited to introduce a new audience to everything Texas has to offer,” Jeff Smith, Vice President and Managing Director of Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, said in a statement.

National Recognition from Travel + Leisure

SAVOR comes just as the Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa was named to Travel + Leisure’s 2025 T+L 500, a curated list of the world’s best hotels. Released each May, the list is based on feedback from T+L readers and recognizes standout properties across service, amenities, and guest experience.

This follows the resort’s 2024 honor as the No. 1 Texas Resort Hotel in the Travel + Leisure rankings. The list appears in the magazine’s May issue, out now, and will be published online April 23.

And If You’ve Lost Track of What’s What at PGA Frisco…

You’re not alone. Since the early planning stages, PGA Frisco has evolved into an entire campus with multiple anchors and attractions — each pulling in residents, visitors, and events at record pace.

Opened in May 2023, Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa sits on a 660-acre campus that represents one of the largest hospitality developments in North Texas. The property includes 500 hotel rooms and suites, 10 four-bedroom Ranch Houses, Mokara Spa, multiple pools, and 13 dining options.

With 127,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, the resort is also positioned as a major player in the region’s conference and event industry.

The PGA District

The 660-acre development includes:

  • The Home of the PGA of America, national headquarters and training facility
  • Fields Ranch, two 18-hole championship golf courses and clubhouse
  • Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, including the hotel, spa, Ranch Houses, and meeting space
  • The PGA District, home to The Swing short course, The Dance Floor putting course, and a mix of retail and restaurants

All that, and still no turkey leg tents.
