The spectacular pool is a showstopper. With a hot tub, a waterfall grotto, and a slide, the entire family will love outdoor life here.

Luxury buyers today want more than a pretty house. They want an architecturally significant, extraordinary house that offers character and a luxury resort lifestyle. I have not seen any property that can compare with this one. Not in years.

Architect Cole Smith designed this three-story home. As a partner with Smith, Ekblad & Associates, he was responsible for one of the most incredible houses ever built in Dallas, 5323 Park Lane. It was designed for software magnate Larry Lacerte and later bought by Kelcy Warren in 2009 for $29 million. In today’s dollars, that’s about $45 million. So, a Cole Smith-designed home is a very big deal.

Smith, in collaboration with the renowned builder Jim Dauterman and Original Landscape Concepts, has created a one-of-a-kind home that truly embodies a complete luxury resort lifestyle.

Smith’s signature design philosophy, evident in this house, offers a unique sense of being in a luxurious cabin nestled deep in the woods.

The great room, reminiscent of a mountaintop retreat in Colorado, features antique beams set into a grand two-story vaulted ceiling and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. French doors open to the exceptional backyard, where the true luxury resort lifestyle unfolds on just under an acre.

An intimate library is just off the great room with room for a large collection.
The charming kitchen with an island, breakfast bar, and breakfast nook opens to a large, screened porch.

The primary suite features his-and-her bathrooms and closets and an office.
The second floor has three charming bedrooms, each with a connecting bath, while the third floor includes a large game room.

In addition to the 7,786-square-foot main house, there is also a two-story guest house next to the pool with a full kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and a wine room.

A Backyard Oasis Provides The Ultimate Luxury Resort Lifestyle

Original Landscape Concepts pulled out every stop here. This project is even featured on their website, and I’ll defer to their description of their deep shade garden retreat.

A lagoon pool with mossy boulders and a slide is positioned near a detached spa and a luxurious garden pavilion. The pavilion features an outdoor kitchen, shade curtains, a sauna, and an elevated bar area for outdoor entertainment. Two stone fire pits expand the outdoor living space. Curvilinear mossy stone seating walls allow guests to relax in different places in the garden. Other landscape features include flagstone pathways and patios, an artificial turf meadow perfect for youth sports, a natural river rock stream, and lush landscape foliage throughout the garden.

“Ebby Halliday listing agent Chris Hickman said, “ The backyard really turns into the main living area with multiple covered and screened porches, a fireplace, fire pits, the putting green, and the incredible pool, spa, and stone paths. The family has been here since 2006 and have loved entertaining outside.”
