Three Generations Can Fit Quite Comfortably in This Reimagined Prestonwood Ranch

When Jim Anani found this reimagined ranch, he was looking for a one-story residence that would meet his family’s multi-generational living needs. The minute he opened the door, he knew it would work. With 3,222 square feet, four bedrooms, and three-and-a-half bathrooms, three generations could easily coexist.
“You can walk in the front door and see end to end in the house,” Anani said. “That open space is my favorite part of the house. There are windows on every wall of the house so it’s bright.”
Although the home had been completely remodeled and updated, Anani introduced even more upgrades. Flooring was changed, cabinets and Lutron lighting and blinds were added.
Anani also put in a Sonic ice machine. “Once you have one, you can never go back.” He also added a heater to the pool for year-round enjoyment. “I put in the fun creature features,” he said.
The team at George Bass Stage and Design did an exceptional job of delineating the spaces. While we love an open plan living space, without staging it can be challenging to understand how a large open room might function.
“With today’s lifestyle, wide open spaces are wonderful for a family or those who like to entertain,” Bass said. “We made it more inviting and easier to navigate the floor plan.”
With this showplace kitchen, you’ll want to entertain, and if you’re not already a veteran cook, you’ll want to learn in this kind of kitchen. There is a commercial-grade six-burner range with a pot filler, double ovens, and dual sinks. Anchored by a 14-foot quartz-topped island with massive amounts of storage below, this is where everyone will hang out.
The floor plan was designed to provide privacy with a primary suite in its own wing and three secondary bedrooms beyond the family room. The suite has Lutron blinds and opens directly to the backyard.
This Prestonwood reimagined ranch features three unique outdoor environments, including a lush lawn, a pool retreat with additional green space, and a secluded side patio. “It’s great because you can have kids playing in one area and adults in the other section,” Anani said.
One of the dramatic installations Anani just completed is unexpected. He had the 20-foot-wide driveway resurfaced with hand-laid 2-inch marble. “It’s the same tiles that were used at The Shops at Legacy and so strong you could land an airplane on it,” Anani said.
It’s easy to see why people stay in Prestonwood. Niche gives the neighborhood an A+ overall grade and ranks it among Dallas’ best places to live, while the tree-lined streets, nearby restaurants and shopping, schools, and access to major highways make everyday life convenient. And in a few years, you might be able to drive to a Dallas Mavericks game at the old Valley View Mall location in ten minutes. Things might start booming!
