Crest Auto Group Brings Small-Town Charm to the Backyard With This Playhouse

If you’ve wandered through Dallas CASA’s Parade of Playhouses at NorthPark Center over the years, you already know that when Crest Auto Group is involved, the result is always thoughtful, imaginative, and full of heart. This year, Crest is taking a charming turn down Main Street with a playhouse that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly playful.
Meet the Crest Auto Market, a whimsical backyard destination designed to capture the charm of a small-town farmers market. Rather than leaning into automobiles this year, Crest’s creative team dreamed up a space inspired by local retail experiences — the kind where neighbors gather, conversations happen, and kids’ imaginations can roam free.

The design transforms a child’s backyard into a bustling mini market, complete with a checkout counter and pretend food that invites hands-on, interactive play. It’s a playhouse built for socializing, storytelling, and roleplaying, encouraging kids to take turns as shoppers, sellers, and entrepreneurs, all while having fun.
That sense of community is exactly what drew Crest Auto Group to this theme.

Crest has been a dedicated supporter of Dallas CASA’s Parade of Playhouses for many years, viewing the event as far more than a sponsorship opportunity. For the organization, Parade of Playhouses reflects a shared commitment to the North Texas community and to children who need advocates during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
“Supporting Parade of Playhouses is about more than sponsoring an event,” said Kevin Healy of Crest Auto Group. “It’s about standing behind a mission that ensures children living in foster care have someone advocating for their safety, stability, and future.”

Over the years, the Crest team has built and donated 11 playhouses, with employees coming together each time in support of Dallas CASA’s mission. Those playhouses serve as a powerful symbol of what every child deserves: a safe, joyful place to simply be a kid. For Crest, each build is also a reminder of why Dallas CASA’s work matters and why the partnership continues year after year.
The Crest Auto Market will be featured in Dallas CASA’s 2026 Parade of Playhouses, on display at NorthPark Center from May 22 through June 7. Presented by Crest Auto Group, the annual event brings together architects, builders, and organizations to create one-of-a-kind playhouses that are raffled off to benefit children living in foster care.

Each playhouse is available to win through a raffle drawing, allowing families to take home a custom playhouse while supporting an important cause. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales benefit Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), which recruits and trains volunteers who advocate for the safety, well-being, and futures of children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

A Dallas tradition since 1996, Parade of Playhouses draws more than one million visitors to NorthPark Center each year. As shoppers stroll the display this spring, the Crest Auto Market offers a simple reminder that when great design and community commitment come together, something truly meaningful can happen.
