One Caruth Village Beauty That Proves You Can’t Beat a ‘Classic’

The other day, I was enjoying a stretch of formative rock favorites on a random radio station. Among the grunge revival and industrial icons featured were Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rage Against the Machine. When the station bumper interrupted to thank me for tuning into the classic rock commute, I was once again reminded that the 90s are no longer just a decade ago — though they often feel that way.

When we think about what makes a classic, it’s easy to conjure images of an ancient era. In real estate, Tudor Revival, Craftsman, or Midcentury Modern often make the list. However, if we’re now calling 90s music classic rock, how do we classify a 1990s build?  If we consider the criteria for a “classic,” what’s the one commonality?

Just like the enduring anthems from albums like Ok Computer, Siamese Dream, or The Downward Spiral, the trademark of a classic home is timelessness.

If you want a great example of this, one just came on the market in Caruth Village. Built in 1998, this four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 4,061-square-foot gem blends sophisticated style with contemporary touches to evoke an ageless aesthetic.

From the outside, this home exudes storybook curb appeal. With provincial influences and old-world cues, the character strikes a beautiful balance between modern and traditional.

Then, the interior plays up the classic concept with antique fixtures, warm hardwoods, elegant wainscoting, and arched thruways. It’s almost hard to pin a date on this home. The craftsmanship feels incredibly meticulous and leaves an authentic impression as you explore.

As far as the layout goes, this home is tastefully traditional. With multiple gathering spaces, a regal office, and formal dining areas, it’s imagined for effortless entertaining. Almost every space benefits from soaring ceilings and an abundance of natural light.

Then, the chef’s kitchen caters to your every need with a center island, gas cooktop, double ovens, and a butler’s pantry. Also, this space opens up to the breakfast area with Marvin windows overlooking the private stone courtyard.

The primary suite presents even more opportunities to enjoy those beautiful backyard views. Here, a spacious layout and light-filled ambiance create a serene escape.

The ensuite bathroom complements this retreat with spa amenities like a large soaking tub, walk-in shower, and dual vanities.

On the second floor, there’s a plethora of extra bedrooms and bathrooms, making it suitable for a family of almost any size.

Finally, the home wraps around that quaint courtyard, creating the perfect setting for morning coffee, afternoon unwinding, and more.

This home is conveniently located within walking distance of NorthPark Mall, more shopping, and dining.

Kelley Schadt with Allie Beth Allman & Associates has 7729 Marquette St. listed for $2.09 million.
