The best part of visiting or living in Houston is the multitude of family activities that are available. The Houston Children’s Museum is one of the best I’ve seen as well as the Natural Science Museum. Both are phenomenal.

Then, located 40 minutes from the city center, is Space Center Houston and historical sites such as the San Jacinto Museum and Battlefield. We can’t forget about the lovely City of Galveston. Fresh seafood for dinner, anyone?

In short, there is so much to do in Houston that you could not see and do everything in one long weekend. I know this for a fact because while my husband and I lived there when we were first married, my sister and young nephews would come to visit every MLK Jr. holiday weekend

That is why when I was looking for a cool Texas home to write about, I thought it would be absolutely crazy to not have a second home in Houston. With all the things to see and do, along with world-class restaurants, the only thing missing is a cozy place to rest your head at night. I have found just such a home.
