With the first blast of cooler temps under our belts, I thought it was time to check out the trusty Old Farmer’s Almanac and see what their prediction is for this coming winter. Manifesting for a mild winter, I got my wish. If only I could do the same when I pick out lottery numbers.
The Lone Star State is expected to be dry this winter and experience mild temperatures at best. Sounds lovely, right? Well, the folks at WalletHub.com think so as well. They ranked the top five cities to visit if you are one of the lunatics who loves a cold winter and then they ranked the five best cities to visit if you enjoy milder winters. Two Texas cities made into the top five with Austin ranking third and Dallas ranking fourth.
In the category of you don’t have to tell me twice, I did a quick search of where in Austin I would want to spend this delightfully upcoming mild winter. It did not take me long to find the Bellagio Falls Estate located on Lake Austin. Anyone looking for a Christmas gift for yours truly, move this home to the top of the wishlist please.

Sitting on six acres, the most incredible feature of this home is the more than 600 feet of water frontage along Lake Austin. The serenity and natural beauty make this the place to spend a mild winter. The interior, however, is just as compelling as the views.

The Bellagio Falls Estate is an exquisite property that combines the beauty of Texas ranch-style living with elegance. The flooring is incredible with inlaid Texas mesquite flooring throughout the home.

With almost 10,000 square feet of living space, you have plenty of room for entertaining without missing out on the incredible view, regardless of where you are in the home.

The beauty of the home is not simply in the amenities but in the fact that you can truly have indoor/outdoor living in this secluded oasis. The property is beautifully landscaped with majestic oak trees, a magnificent 100-year-old heritage pecan tree, and a variety of other tree species such as bald cypress, sycamore, mulberry, and multiple fruit trees, creating a tranquil and scenic environment.

The property is enveloped by a vast greenbelt on all sides and bordered by a bird refuge across the lake, shielding the estate from any visible homes or boat docks and providing an unobstructed view of the picturesque bend in the lake. The only thing left to say is bring on the mild winter.
This Bellagio Falls Estate at 15016 Flat Top Ranch Rd. in Austin is listed for $20 million.
