New Community in Celina Will Add Hundreds of Homes to Growing Suburb

Some of the homes that will be on offer at a new community in fast-growing Celina were showcased just last week, with developer Rockhill Capital & Investments announcing the debut of The Heights at Uptown Celina.
The first phase of development is underway and comprises 236 of the 380 homes ultimately planned for the community, which will be the fourth to go up within 675-acre Uptown Celina.
Along with Melissa and Anna, Celina is one of the North Texas “Sister Cities” with city limits in Collin County. The town has grown from a humble community of around 8,000 residents in 2015 into a rapidly expanding suburb of just under 65,000 at the start of this year.

Rockhill Capital & Investments is looking to facilitate further growth with its addition of The Heights. The project is situated north of Highway 380 and right next to downtown Celina. A trail designed for both pedestrians and golf carts links the community to the city center, giving residents “backyard” access to downtown.
A community pool and amenity center are also in the works.
“This grand opening is one of the most anticipated moments at the Uptown Celina development because The Heights epitomizes our entire vision for residents: a connected, walkable community,” Rockhill Capital & Investments managing partner Ryan Griffin said, according to a press release.

“Seeing a community come to life where residents can enjoy and support the shops, restaurants, and activities at the heart of the city is a great feeling,” he added.
Celina was recently ranked No. 2 for home affordability out of all the D-FW suburbs in an analysis by the real estate listing website Zoocasa, and if that’s not enough to pique your interest in the city, H-E-B will be coming to town sometime soon.

Three builders are behind the homes at The Height at Uptown Celina. Normandy Homes is offering six two-story designs ranging from 2,290 to 3,005 square feet, with prices beginning in the low $400,000s. Olivia Clarke Homes has five one- and two-story plans between 1,900 and 3,200 square feet, starting in the low $500,000s. Perry Homes is building one- and two-story houses from 1,500 to 3,000 square feet, priced from the upper $500,000s on up.
