Step (and Step and Step) Right Up to This 1960s Split-Level in North Dallas

Purple Sage Road is a legendary little street road. Custom homes. Midcentury homes. Clean lines. Expansive lawns. And trees, so many trees. It’s not the first time we’ve covered Purple Sage and no way it’ll be the last.

This North Dallas home at Hillcrest and Alpha has four bedrooms, three baths, and two half-baths with 3,834 square feet on nearly one-third of an acre. But this one has all the split levels and space you’ve been looking for. And that backyard. It’s HUGE but like with the new Google text effect HUGE.

The first thing you’ll notice is that the curb appeal on this not-so-little charmer is off the charts. Brick, siding, the stairstepping on the exterior (a hint of what’s coming next), the three vertical windows across the front, the roof on a roof. It’s seriously so good.

Inside the sleek, contemporary vibes are incredible and the updates have been carefully selected to highlight the original architecture and stay true to the feel of the home.

As you sit in the living room, you have dueling sets of atrium windows on either side. You’re not even sure which incredible wall of glass to look out of as you sit there and wonder aloud, what you did right in life to find such a spectacular house.

Final proof this one was ahead of its time — and why it’s still one of the most sought after styles today — it was open concept before that idea even had a label.

Final final thing, how incredibly cool are those kitchen cabinets that perfectly follow the ceiling line so much so that the last one in the row is angled??

So, who is the buyer for this house? I mean, someone awesome, obviously. Someone who loves entertaining, which is trite, right? We hear that a lot, but this house flows.

And the split levels make it an open invitation to explore. Hey, what’s on the business end of this little short stack of stairs? What about this one? That’s just ripe for some conversation starters. And so is this entertaining tip for you… [pause for affiliate break]… I found the best get-to-know-your-people card game called Tales that everyone should buy right now. It was big on Instagram two years ago, so it makes total sense that I would bring it up now. Anyway, buy it now, thank me later, and then take it to a dinner party at this house.

Nanette Myrlin of Keller Williams recently reduced 13311 Purple Sage to $1.02 million, and she’s hosting an open house this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Skadoodle your little poodle on over there. But like, don’t really bring your poodle. K. Thx. Bye.
