Art + Color: An Evening of Art, Charity, and Impact Benefiting Dwell with Dignity

Art has long been a powerful means of expression. But this Thursday’s Art + Color Party, benefiting Dwell with Dignity, demonstrates how it can also drive meaningful change.

“This event serves as a kickoff to Thrift Studio, our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Executive Director Teresa Charnook “Guests will be treated to an exciting preview of the incredible art available for purchase at the pop-up, with select pieces up for silent auction.” All proceeds will help provide safe, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed homes for families transitioning out of homelessness.

Now in its fourth year, the event returns to Richardson-based Texas Counter Fitters. The spacious, natural light-filled showroom provides the perfect setting. Paintings will be beautifully displayed on natural stone canvases, highlighting the perfect blend of art and craftsmanship.

“Seeing the Art + Color Party grow over the past four years has been incredibly rewarding,” said Chris Blackburn, CEO of Texas Counter Fitters. “This event is a testament to the generosity of our local designers, artists, and supporters who help make a lasting impact for families and communities in need.”

The party’s success is fueled by the involvement of talented local artists, whose contributions add unique character while driving excitement and engagement within the design community. Participants include Lea Fisher, Hannah Brown, Jarrod Oram, Mione Plant, Erica Pepper, and Elizabeth McCoy.

“Through design, we create that opportunity for families to thrive.”

“Thrift Studio allows people to shop stunning designer pieces while directly funding real change for families in our community,” said Charnook. “Whether you attend Art + Color or shop throughout the month, every purchase supports our mission and makes a difference.”

Captivating acts will enhance the event’s creative and philanthropic spirit. Highlights include a live performance by Broadway Dallas and entertainment from the Bishop String Quartet.

The event is free, but a $25 donation (which goes directly to Dwell with Dignity) is suggested. RSVPs are appreciated.
