Dallas Real Estate Market
Texas’ #1 luxury real estate agent Alex Perry and the Perry Wisdom Barrett Real Estate team offer their 2025 real estate market outlook.

After months of uncertainty, the 2025 Dallas real estate market looks strong, with buyers and sellers expressing a positive sense of change in the economy, according to the experts with the Perry Wisdom Barrett Real Estate Group.

“I’m seeing the market being on fire this year,” said Alex Perry, a top-ranked luxury real estate agent both in Dallas and all of Texas, according to RealTrends, as advertised in The Wall Street Journal. “There’s not enough inventory of homes for sale in Dallas, but people are moving and the economy looks to have some room to run.”

Interest from buyers and sellers ramped up in the final months of 2024, an indication of an upcoming robust spring market. Buyers who had been on the fence are ready to act. The spring market should be fully underway by the beginning of February at the latest.

“If you’re a seller considering making a move, this spring market is going to be a really good opportunity,” according to Chad Barrett. “It’s important to get your house as ready as possible now. A lot of buyers still want a turn-key home.”

“If you’re not willing or able to make those updates,” he said, “then you have to be ready to price the home accordingly. Move-in ready homes usually sell for top dollar.”

What will be the key to selling in 2025? The answer never changes: You have to price it right. Hire a real estate agent who knows the market well—and then trust their guidance on pricing.

Perry said he’s still seeing some pre- vs. post-pandemic disconnect. Buyers aren’t willing to pay just anything for a home now, so you might not make the same profit on selling your home as the previous owner did. But you’ll still make a profit. Getting it right takes planning, so talk to an agent now.

“It takes some time to come up with all the details in your strategy for selling,” Elizabeth Wisdom explained. “We want to have your home perfectly positioned as soon as it hits the market.”

“Today’s market requires both patience and knowledge, for both sellers and buyers,” Eric Narosov added. “That is why it is essential to navigate this market with a price-driven approach and the ability to make the deal happen.”

Hiring an agent with a track record of delivering results is your best bet for winning in the 2025 real estate market. They know what’s happening by neighborhood, street, and block, and can guide you seamlessly.

According to Perry Wisdom Barrett, while there’s no roadmap for the 2025 market; it depends on all the factors at play in each transaction, it will be a great year to sell a home.

Cities limiting the size of ones dream castle in terms of it being too small is not only helping create this problem of not having enough houses, but is also contributing stupidly to pollution. As Buckminster Fuller might say, let people buy their big houses; and, likewise, let people buy their tiny castles.
Also, developers are being allowed to build both apartments and family housing which has long allowed them to control pricing by restricting supply.
