Reimagined Spring Creek Modified Ranch Is More Than Just a House

When I saw this Spring Creek modified ranch, I sensed something different about it immediately. Scrolling to the first interior photo confirmed my suspicions that this was no ordinary flip, so I did my unusual down-the-rabbit hole investigation.
The interiors are so flawless that, of course, I went straight to the Maverick Design website mentioned in the listing copy. It offered a slam dunk on why this Spring Creek home is head and shoulders above the majority of reinvented ranch homes we see today.

It turns out that this boutique design company, based in Redondo Beach, Calif., is the design division of its larger parent company, Wedgewood Homes. They are a diverse residential development company that has been in business for almost four decades. Long ago, Wedgewood realized people don’t just want a house. They want a home. They began turning the ordinary into the extraordinary and offering designer homes at a variety of points. So, despite being based in California, they acquire, renovate, and resell all over America, using local professionals.
Wedgewood Homes specializes in restoring homes and placing them back on the market, providing new homeownership opportunities for thousands.

Having an arm of the company that designs is the icing on the cake and, in my opinion, what sets them and this Spring Creek home apart. Maverick Design has created a signature style, and they have gotten it so very right, from the finish-out to the staging.

It’s not surprising they selected a great neighborhood like Spring Creek. Although it’s officially North Dallas, this 2,589-square-foot home lies within Richardson Heights Estates West and is zoned to the highly sought-after Richardson School District. You can walk half a block and be at the Westwood Junior High School track with the excellent Meandering Way walking trail just beyond the school. Spring Creek Elementary School is a short bike ride away.

It’s just about the most family-friendly neighborhood in Dallas, and it looks like it should be a movie location. Tree-lined streets and beautifully intact homes have been renovated and updated rather than demolished, ensuring the original character remains.
“This home is, from top to bottom, just darling,” Keller Williams Urban listing agent Alexa Anderson said. “It’s the best product on the market right now.”

I have to agree. It’s what made me stop in my tracks. A completely updated four-bedroom, three-bath huge ranch-style home with a swimming pool for under 8K? It’s like a needle in a haystack situation, and the seller is offering buyer concessions! What more could you ask for?
Anderson has 7725 La Cosa Drive available for $799,900.
