Glenridge Estates Gets a Georgian Gem and We’re Giving You First Look

A close cousin to the American colonial, the Georgian is one of the most timeless designs of all time. With roots in the British Isles, this style is engrained within the avenues of America’s most coveted communities. Revival renditions in this category are all over the pop culture landscape. From the McCallister residence from Home Alone to the Swan House featured in Hunger Games, Georgian gems exist in the fabric of our collective consciousness. In a more contemporary iteration, a great example of this style just landed in Glenridge Estates.

For this week’s Inwood Home of the Week sponsored by Inwood National Bank, we’re excited to explore the next generation of Georgian architecture.

This four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 5,029-square-foot gem showcases quality craftsmanship and classic design from every angle. Let’s jump in and have a look.

“It was imagined and executed by prominent Beverly Hills Designer, Pamela Patruno and MARDALF,” said listing agent Cliff Kessler with Allie Beth Allman & Associates. “Patruno has had an illustrious career in California, so having one of her designs right here in Glenridge Estates is exciting.”

While your typical American Georgians are famous for their red brick facades, this one bucks tradition with a dynamic build. With a more modern Bordeaux-style brick, this home infuses French countryside aesthetics, which pair perfectly with arch-top shutters, a prominent chimney, and pitched gables. The contemporary take on this classic style captivates from all angles.

The interior pays it all off. Upon entering the home, the word craftsmanship quickly comes to mind. As soon as you step through the custom steel door, the quality is apparent. Embellished hardwood flooring, custom lighting, and elevated trim set the tone for a tour.

The home features an abundance of gathering spaces, making it ideal for entertaining. There’s a receiving space just off the entrance. A formal living area creates an elegant communal retreat. Huge windows, a handsome hearth, and ample space create a sophisticated setting.

Of course, the chef’s kitchen is expertly appointed. Featuring custom cabinetry, Crystallo quartzite countertops, and an oversized island, it’s as fabulous as it is functional. Also, features like the six-burner range, dual dishwashers, warming drawer, double ovens, and coffee bar make it perfect for meal prep. A wine room rounds off the incredible extras.

The owner’s retreat is out of this world. Soaring ceilings and a chandelier set the stage for a luxurious escape.

The ensuite bathroom features a massive walk-in shower, a standalone soaking tub, and dual vanities for a serene spa-like experience. The walk-in closet is well organized and arranged with all manner of shelves, drawers, and display areas. You feel the Beverly Hills celebrity status with every wardrobe change.

This home is almost boundless in its layout. The square footage stretches across three more bedrooms plus an additional living area, executive office space, and game room. Also, the multiple patios and balconies provide extensive outdoor entertaining opportunities.

“Another great feature of this home is that it features full smart home integrated technology,” Kessler said. “From the television to the security system and lighting, everything is programmable from the palm of your hand.”

Finally, the backyard is full of potential. Currently, it features a well-manicured lawn but could easily accommodate a pool. With so much shade, it’s a perfect space for those warm summer evenings under the stars.

If you’re a fan of Georgian architecture, this Glenridge Estates beauty should be at the top of your list.

This house has nothing to do with Georgian or Neo-Georgian architecture in any way shape or form. Thorough research should be completed before classifying any building. Very few new builds have much in the way of architectural significance.
