Red Oak is the Hottest New Dallas Suburb!

Red Oak

Red Oak, a lovely suburb just 30 minutes south of Dallas, is conveniently located off of Interstate 35E in Ellis County. It’s essentially the same distance from downtown Dallas as McKinney, but you get so much more in Red Oak. With its proximity to major landmarks and amenities, Red Oak offers a unique blend of suburban tranquility and urban convenience.

One of the best things about Red Oak is the new construction here, and we are particularly impressed by this stunning new Hidden Creek contemporary at 324 Whispering Way. It was designed and built by Kelvin Williams of New Vision Properties & Land.

Kelvin grew up in the industry and has been building since 2007.

“I really like contemporary style, and I look for inspiration everywhere,” he said.

With a wide lot on three-quarters of an acre, he was able to create a single-story home with an open floor plan that allows natural light to flow throughout.

Beamed ceilings and clever use of wood detailing offer character and warmth to this Hidden Creek contemporary. A wow-factor fireplace centers the family living area, which overlooks the lush and very private backyard. The use of black tile on the fireplace is particularly inspired as it allows a TV to blend in beautifully rather than detract from the fireplace as the architectural focal point.

An Instagram-worthy kitchen features gorgeous light fixtures, countertops, and an island wrapped in quartz that looks like vanilla ice cream with caramel swirls. This is the heart of the house and was designed to blend luxury with comfort and make entertaining a breeze.

Adjacent to the main living areas is a laundry room that is a testament to the thoughtful design of this home. Painted in a soothing soft green and adorned with the same brushed brass hardware as the kitchen, it’s a space that makes the chore of laundry a little more enjoyable.

The oversized primary suite side features massive windows overlooking the backyard and that beautiful wood detailing we see in the home office and breakfast room repeated on the ceiling. It’s hard to pinpoint the star of the show in this Hidden Creek contemporary, but the primary bath is certainly one of them. It’s a jaw-dropper with miles of beautiful white and gray tile, more beautiful counters, brushed brass hardware, and must-have light fixtures.

The Hidden Creek contemporary features three additional bedrooms, a game room, and a large outdoor living area, making it a perfect family home. Remember, Red Oak has a highly rated school system, so families are really drawn to this area now that it’s so easy to get here. The new Loop 9 has opened, connecting I-35 and I-45, adding quick and easy access to Red Oak.

“A lot of people still don’t know about Red Oak, but when they find it, they love it,” Kelvin said.

The growth has been phenomenal here since news of a new Google Data Center was announced. Google has plans to invest approximately $600 million in the data center and generate 30 full-time jobs.

Rogers Healy Realtors Ben Wegmann and Karnesha Williams have this Hidden Creek contemporary at 324 Whispering Oaks available for $749,000. The builder is offering $10,000 in concessions to buy down the interest rate or to use toward closing costs. That’s a pretty sweet deal!

A broker’s open house is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16.

I used to watch the doctors Gibbons from the Samuell Clinic play polo in Red Oak. Dang I’m old.
