Here’s How to Gallop Away From All That Southlake Commotion
Share News:

Anyone familiar with Southlake knows that it’s a busy place. The northeast Tarrant County suburb is surrounded by Highway 114, and the parking lot known as 1709 can be a giant headache. Add to that school pick-up lines and restaurant parking, not to mention football traffic.
It all just goes with living in this suburb with easy access to DFW International Airport, high-ranking schools, trendy shopping spots, and quick rides to Dallas or Fort Worth. Lots of people want that, so Southlake is a popular place to live.
Getting away from all that business is still possible, though. One unique estate currently on the market in Southlake allows its residents to be close to the action, yet still reside in a place that seems far removed from all that buzz. Check out 500 E. Bob Jones Road.
“You’re just minutes away, but you still have big Texas sky at this property,” said listing Realtor Gabriella Miller with Allie Beth Allman & Associates. “It’s just beautiful there, and you feel like you’re in another place.”

Escape to 8-Plus Acres
This Southlake estate sits along a tranquil 8.4 acres. This pastoral setting near Lake Grapevine creates a relaxed retreat, a convenient escape from the nearby commotion.

The unique property features a house designed to take advantage of views, whether it’s the prominent windows in the office or the window seats found in the upstairs bedrooms.
Built in 2021, the 6,637-square-foot house with four bedrooms and six bathrooms blends contemporary design with casual elegance.
On the first floor are the living room, dining room, game room, media room, bar, kitchen and its complementary scullery, laundry room, and both the primary suite and guest suite. Upstairs are two secondary bedrooms, a loft area, and the mysterious hidden room, found through bookshelves, which is used now as a dance studio.
Who Needs the Biggest?
it’s not nearly the biggest home in Southlake, but it’s comfortable with touches of elegance throughout, Miller said.
For example, the kitchen’s luxurious countertops are sea pearly quartzite, the dining room shines with three pendant light fixtures, and the living room glitters with a contemporary and eye-catching chandelier. Wood beams accent the rooms, softening the house’s contemporary edges.

As comfortable as the house is, it’s the outdoor areas that truly make this property a rare find. An outdoor living space — 910 square feet under a roof— can become enclosed easily with its electronic screens that roll up and down. The kitchen comes with a grill, gas-burning stovetop, and an island that seats four. The firepit, arranged to take in the sweeping views, faces the pastures and trees.
Horses Kept Happy

Of course there’s a swimming pool, but no worries if horseback riding is the hobby of choice. The barn’s four Euro-style horse stalls allow the happy horses to extend their heads out the stalls. The tack room provides the space to store saddles, bridles, and boots. Along with a half-bath for humans, there’s a wash stall for the horses. A sand arena is available for jumping, while the three pastures ensure the horses can spread out without getting into that Southlake rat race themselves.
With this property, everyone is happy, both the people and the horses.
“It’s not often in Texas that I can go out on somebody’s back deck and feel like I’m somewhere else,” Miller said. “And at night the trees and the stars just fill the sky.”
Sigh.
Gabriella Miller with Allie Beth Allman & Associates has this property listed for $8.999 million.
