Kimberly Bedwell has listed a jaw-dropping Southlake Chateau.

The enormous house on Southlake’s Peytonville Avenue definitely is an eye-catcher from the road. But besides its stunning size and traffic-stopping exterior, there’s much, much more to like inside.

Need proof? An eight-page, bound document presents all the improvements that have been made to 771 S. Peytonville Ave., in Southlake.

“It’s a jaw-dropper,” said Realtor Kimberly Bedwell, who listed the estate at $5 million.

A chateau in the middle of Southlake? This sure looks like one.

What Makes This Southlake Chateau a Jaw-Dropper?

What makes it a jaw-dropper? First, it sits on two acres, giving it the stately presence this 7,004-square-foot chateau deserves. Secondly, the home, built in 2013, was completely remodeled. Thirdly, the remodeling was directed by the owners Christine Davis, and her husband Michael. He’s in the furniture business and Christine owns BFI Interiors.

“This is what she does as a hobby,” Bedwell said. “She buys houses, she renovates them, she lives in them and then she sells them. And she didn’t miss anything.”

Walls were moved, lighting added, and so much more to make this house jaw-dropping.
Appliances were upgraded to make this a dream kitchen.

The Long List

The castle-like exterior screams elegant living fit for royalty, which is not uncommon in Southlake. Inside, though, is everything on a “want list” for contemporary lifestyles. From top to bottom, the home was remodeled to improve its layout and deliver an updated style. The walls were moved. New windows were installed. A fireplace was removed. Three custom iron doors were added.

Want more improvements found on that eight-page document? Okay … The primary bedroom, with its three closets, a sitting area, and a fireplace is upstairs, so an elevator was installed. The ensuite bathroom’s facelift included a steam shower and marble countertops. Then for convenience, a second, upstairs laundry room was added.

Wait, there’s more … check it out: custom millwork, high-end chandeliers, custom lighting, a dog spa, a media room, an exercise room, and a deluxe wine room connected oh-so-conveniently to the dining room. A $10,000 chandelier lights the foyer. Bathrooms got Toto commodes. There’s a luxe neutral palette. Thaibaut wallpaper adorns walls.

Dine in modern elegance under this dazzling chandelier.

“It’s truly a private estate,” said Bedwell, “and the attention to detail is spectacular.”

Then there are the normal statistics a potential homeowner wants to know about any house. The bedrooms number five, and the bathrooms number seven — five full baths and two half-baths. Flooring throughout is hardwood and marble, and four fireplaces can be found throughout. The garage can house four cars.

Looking Outside

Outside is outstanding, too. Enjoy the beautiful swimming pool, and grill out along the patio. With all this luxury, there’s still plenty of space on the two-acre estate to make rural fantasies a reality. The cute two-story barn can house horses or chickens.

Day, night, or in between, the pool awaits.
A two-story barn allows space for horses, chickens, and maybe both.

So here the estate stands in the middle of Southlake, minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas, and Fort Worth.  With the sizeable property, the prime location, and the recent interior updates, it guarantees the privacy of country living, the attraction of urban centers, and the amenities of luxurious living.

“The thoughtfulness that went into it is just unprecedented,” Bedwell said. “It’s just stunning.”
