Love, Peppermint and Surface of the Moon Carpeting Reign in This Missouri Home

“The year was 1965 when Andres Apostol came to the United States as a student pursuing a career in medicine. His schedule aligned at that time with a young lady who had migrated to live the American Dream as a nursing student.”

I do not know about you but my popcorn is buttered and I am here for all two hours of what has to be the opening of one of the greatest love stories ever told. Let’s see what happens next.
“They were united in marriage and moved to Monett in 1971. Dr Apostol joined St Vincent’s Hospital and rented a house close by. ‘Natty’ was very active in her community serving on hospital nursing and auxiliary boards and tending to her growing family needs.”

Brace yourself. That is all we have on our love-struck heroes, Andres and Natty. Those were the first two opening sentences of the description of the contemporary Monett, Montana home featured in this week’s column. That’s what they call some fine Hollywood writing. Someone award this realtor a WGA union card and get her a job writing for the Hallmark Channel.
While we may be missing the rest of the story between these two lovebirds, we can deduce two things about Dr. and Mrs. Apostol based on their home. The first is that they must have really liked peppermint. The second is that they really, really, I mean really, loved carpeting.

Peppermint. A great, big peppermint.

That is one massive conversation pit. It is hard to picture our young couple having a conversation pit that big or having a pit at all but there you go.
Now, if your eye got fixated on the pattern of the carpeting you will not be disappointed with the carpeting in this five-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom house.

Here we have the pattern in black and white with a touch of red for the tub.

Then we have the same pattern in blue, green, and gold for the other bedrooms. I should have warned you ahead of time to take some Dramamine. It is not very often you see carpeting that can also be substituted for a visual illusion of walking on the moon.
Carpeting selection aside, this started out as a love story so we will end it as a love story.

Such a lovely mural. You just have to believe that is Andres and Natty on the shore of a beautiful beach with battleships behind them in the water. Amor, eh? Their love for each other is almost as grand as my love for you, my wonderful readers.

Hey, that realtor isn’t the only one who could write for the Hallmark Channel.

Isn’t it Monett, MISSOURI?
Nice catch, Paul. It is Missouri. I’ve made the change. My eyes jumped on me while I was looking at which home to write about. As always, thanks for the read. Hope you have a great day.
Still says Montana
Who doesn’t love a black (read: water spots everywhere) sunken tub, surrounded by carpeting?
