One thing is for sure at this stunning Lakeside Drive home on Fort Worth’s Eagle Mountain Lake: You won’t have to go far to feel like you’re on vacation.
The three-bedroom, three-and-one-half-bathroom abode at 11017 Lakeside Drive hit the market about three months ago.
Seller Michael Hrenko is only the second person to own the home and it’s an understatement to say he’s grown attached to the lake life, his neighbors, and the special features of the home in the exclusive gated Resort at Eagle Mountain Lake community.
“I think the big thing for me was just the quietness of the area,” Hrenko said. “It’s North Fort Worth. I loved the lake, just that tranquility, the access to water activities like paddleboarding and kayaking. I became a boat owner and got a slip there. It’s been really fun to experience.”
Step inside for a pictorial sneak peek or view it in person today. Realtor James Britt with Keller Williams North Country is holding an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.

All The Things at 11017 Lakeside Drive
Original owner Mike Benton built the home on Lakeside Drive for himself and his wife in 2017, paying special attention to detail since he was going to live there. Hrenko bought the home about two years ago.
The Resort at Eagle Mountain Lake sits on an 18-hole golf course with a country club, marina, and lakeside restaurants. The area where 11017 Lakeside was built is lovingly referred to as “the island.”
Hrenko works in information technology and said he’s been known to take his laptop on the boat.
“It’s not uncommon for me to attend meetings while I’m on the lake,” he said.

A CandysDirt.com reporter chatted briefly with Hrenko last week and then the emails started flying:
“OMG! That closet!”
“It’s massive! It’s like an entire bedroom. There’s also a great work space/office at the end of the hallway. I had custom soundproof doors installed so I have peace and quiet when working from home. Those doors are gorgeous too.”
Then came the best part: Hrenko told us that the home furnishings and decor were also available for purchase.
“If someone is looking for a completely turn-key lake home or summer home complete with furnishings, boat, and dock, this might be just the place for them,” he said.
What Else You Got?
The 3,650-square-foot home was built around and inspired by a 110-year-old pecan tree.
“If you look along the shore of the island, it’s the only one left,” Hrenko said. “It’s highly coveted. People love these pecan trees.”

The kitchen has beautiful granite countertops and a work surface crafted from 100-year-old oak. Brick walls in the dining room and bedroom were transported from Chicago.
“If you look closely, you’ll see little stamps where it says ‘Illinois’ or a ZIP code,” Hrenko said.
The living room is surrounded by glass doors with stunning views of the lake. A three-car garage provides ample space for storage and boat toys, and includes a utility sink for cleaning fish “if you’re into fish,” Hrenko said. An elevator takes residents to the second floor, where the bedrooms are, or the super-insulated attic that stays cool in the summertime.
