Mansfield Realtor Pam Hudson Took Ownership of Her Brand by Using Side, a Real Estate Brokerage Platform

Pam Hudson is, by anyone’s estimation, a successful Realtor. In 2023, Hudson’s team was bringing in $69 million annually, which amounted to 138 transaction sides from 13 agents. In 2023 her real estate business ranked 45th among large teams in Texas for volume as well as 24th among large teams in Texas for sides by RealTrends.

Nothing to sneeze at.

But when you add it all up, even that amount of business gets watered down as it filters through fees and costs associated with running a successful real estate business. And when you have a traditional brokerage, your branding, technology, and sometimes aesthetics can be subject to broker approval. Hudson wondered if there was a way for her to take greater ownership of her brand.

Taking Ownership With Side

“I wanted to have more control over my future and the legacy I am building for my family,” Hudson told CandysDirt.com. “I also wanted the same for the agents who are and will be part of my firm.”

That was just one reason that Hudson chose to work with Side, a brokerage platform that caters to the wants and needs of high-performing agents that have the experience to navigate the industry without the need of a traditional brokerage environment.

Side is more like the background music in a great restaurant.

“Unlike traditional brokerages, Side supports its partners from behind the scenes,” the website claims. “As their broker of record, we ensure that all transactions are compliant and that agents are in good standing.”

Alongside that, Side gives agents exactly what Hudson was seeking: ownership, technology, and support. It helped her launch her boutique brand she has dubbed Peak Point Real Estate. Her brand is anchored in Mansfield and serves all of Tarrant, Ellis, and Johnson Counties.

An Opportunity to Connect

With the tools that Side provides, Hudson is confident that she’s set up for future success. She said she chose to work with Side due to the amazing culture, which is important to her values. The technology, as well as access to a community of elite agents, were also factors in making the decision to work with Side an easy one.

Of course, launching Peak Point with Side after several years with her prior brokerage has raised some eyebrows.

“Consumers, friends, and family members are all very curious. They all are asking me about my ‘Why.’ I love that!” Hudson said. “Not one client, friend, family member ever asked me why I was affiliated with either of the traditional brokers I was associated with in the past or why I am doing what I am doing.  I am really able to explain in a deeper way my value proposition as a real true professional in my field.”
