Industrial Chic Living is Incredibly Affordable at The Beat Lofts

The best thing about an agent that’s selling a property in their own building is that they know everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. In this case, the agent is JB Hayes with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, and the property is in The Beat Lofts in The Cedars.

What’s Not to Love About The Cedars?

Hayes loves living there. Years ago she lived in Uptown and she said one of the best things about The Cedars is convenience. It’s so easy to hop on Interstate 30 or 35 or the Dallas North Tollway and get anywhere in the city. AT&T Plaza is so close. You have a “bird’s eye view of everything happening at the Convention Center.”

This Condo at The Beat is All About Art

In the fall, Cedars Open Studios is one of her favorite events. All the art studios open their doors and sell paintings, sculptures, greeting cards, ornaments, etc. It’s the perfect place to stock up for the holiday season ahead. It’s a walkable event and in the past, they provided a bingo card that you could check off at each studio and then cash in for a free beer at Lee Harvey’s.

It’s not just the studios that open their doors, pop-ups show up for it, too. The Cedars pulls an eclectic crowd that is passionate about the arts. That’s another reason to love living here. Just the mix of people.

She’s Got The Beat Lofts

The building is The Beat Lofts and it’s newer construction, circa 2007.

Because Hayes is so in the know, she can also tell you that all of the units ending in “04” get a double dose of fireworks on the Fourth of July. Not only can you catch the Fair Park Fireworks but on New Year’s Eve you can see the bombastic display at Reunion Tower, too.

Plus, depending on the room you’re in, you can check out the sunrise and the sunset.

That’s if you’re not down at Four Corners Brewing attending any one of their monthly events.

The final best-kept secret of The Cedars that Hayes shared? On Saturday you can pop into Grey Gardens for one of their famous Stem Sales. Since they’re closed on Sunday and Monday, all the florals in stock come with an incredible discount.

OK, I lied. One more insider tip: Vagabond Hats just moved in. They outgrew their space in Oak Cliff and now make custom high-end hats in The Cedars.

All of this and we haven’t even talked about how amazing this condo is.

It’s Unit 704, meaning all the “04” perks are all yours. It’s also one of the only units that has been so gorgeously wallpapered. There are pops of it everywhere, but the most striking is the patterned paper running the length of the hallway leading to the front door.

It’s a loft with an industrial chic vibe as Hayes calls it. The ductwork is exposed, the cement floors are sealed, and it’s about as move-in ready as they come. The building also offers a second-floor amenity deck with a heated spa, community grills, and covered seating area.

It’s the perfect spot for a young professional or anyone who just wants to be in the middle of it all.

Hayes has 1001 Belleview Street, #704 at The Beat Lofts in The Cedars listed for $380,000.
