While it’s only been on the market for six days, this authentic Overton Park Midcentury Modern has so much going for it that it’s difficult to know where to begin.

Let’s start outside with the 1.4-acre lot. The house benefits from a deep setback on a cul-de-sac lot with a small forest of mature trees at the back. The architecture is Asian-inspired vintage glamor. A visually arresting pierced wall supports an overhang leading to the front door, creating private gardens for the living and dining rooms.

Inside, the floor plan is fairly conventional with the the living room on the right and dining on the left of the entry.

Built in 1957, 3725 Autumn Drive in the sought-after Fort Worth neighborhood of Overton Park is a 3,680-square-foot, three-bedroom, three-and-one-half-bath house that is essentially a one-story spread with one spacious room opening to one another.

Wide-plank bleached oak floors run throughout the ample living and dining rooms, which are enhanced by the many windows that capture the garden views.

The listing mentions updates done with sensitivity to the original style of the house. Frankly, I am at a loss to identify any updates. The kitchen’s aqua cabinetry is a case in point — it’s a very period color I hope buyers embrace.

Another period-perfect choice is the sea glass grass cloth behind the bed in the largest bedroom. Each of the three bedrooms has an ensuite bath.

For a 66-year-old house, it has many features that have become modern must-haves such as the generous storage throughout.

Built with entertainment in mind, the home has a wet bar and butler spaces connected to the dining room, a 400-square-foot covered patio outside, and a pool at back. The lion’s share of the lot is at the back with most of the land left in a near natural sylvan state.

In addition to the two garage spaces, there is a large covered porte cochère adding several parking spaces.

Dillon Dewald of League Real Estate has priced 3725 Autum Drive at $2.9 million.

This is stunning. I hope the buyer doesn’t re-do the kitchen. The curb appeal alone makes this one of the best MCMs I’ve ever seen.
