It’s been quite a year for Allie Beth Allman broker associate and Senior Vice President Juli Black, and it’s not yet over. She cracks a smile that gets wider as she studies the results of last quarter’s sales volume at the leading luxury real estate company that is an icon in Dallas: almost a billion dollars in sales, that’s with a “B.”

The report is exceptional with a company sales volume that almost touched one billion dollars. And it is the largest third quarter by volume in the firm’s history. It is also the quarter in which Black was named a top producer at Allie Beth Allman and a MAJOR contributor to the record-breaking, historical performance of the firm.

How does she do it? Black’s journey into luxury real estate has been guided by her deeply-rooted business background, where she has a track record of closing multi-million-dollar deals with a Fortune 100 company.

“I have a passion for competition and a tech-savvy mindset,” she said. “I was able to apply my experience and expertise to the real estate sector, where it makes a meaningful difference.”

It’s hard to say what makes a successful Dallas Realtor, but Black brings a unique blend of corporate expertise and natural real estate prowess to the table.

She came on board with years of corporate experience under her belt. Most agents with that kind of background might think they know it all and can step right into the MLS world. But her commitment to excellence led Black to further training and education when she studied to obtain her broker’s license.

“I was never one to do the minimum required and call it a day,” she says. “I do it all and then some more.”

This advanced license is a performance and knowledge-based real estate designation that not only reflects her determination to elevate the real estate experience for her clients, it does it. Black is successful in the most competitive parts of town.

The heart of her business beats within the “bubble” of Dallas and its vibrant neighborhoods of Preston Hollow, Park Cities, Lakewood, and Downtown.

“I also understand the appeal of recreational properties and lakeside getaways that many of my clients in these neighborhoods desire,” she said. “With my own family ranch tucked away in East Texas, I know the ins and outs of these unique properties. It’s my pleasure to help clients fulfill their desire to own these special pieces of real estate, whether within our neighborhood or beyond.”

She also lives in the heart of her success, Preston Hollow, and has for almost 15 years.

“I love living steps from Preston Hollow Park, which serves as a backdrop to my daily life,” she said. “This central proximity in the heart of Dallas gives me unparalleled insights into the local area and its real estate market, ensuring that my clients find the perfect home.”

A Native Texan’s Perspective

Her story as a proud native Texan has allowed Black to witness Dallas transform from a small town into the thriving metropolis it is today.

“I’ve called various neighborhoods home over the decades, from Turtle Creek to Lakewood, Park Cities, and now Preston Hollow,” she said. “This lived experience ensures that my clients receive unique insights into these special neighborhoods and communities.”

Legacy in Real Estate

Black’s passion in real estate isn’t new. In fact, she developed an interest early in life, thanks to her mother.

“Allow me to share a quick story about my mom. Early on she instilled in me the power of wealth building, passive income, and equity in real estate,” she said. “We embarked on a real estate journey together, purchasing our first rental property in my 20s. She had a resilience and unwavering work ethic that remain constant sources of inspiration in my real estate career.

“Like many families, our journey was abruptly interrupted when her cancer returned and tragically took her life way too early. However, her legacy of being goal-oriented and her ability to apply her knowledge continues to influence my choices in real estate and guide my decision-making process every day.”

Awards and Recognition

“In the world of real estate, no two deals are alike. There’s no cookie-cutter strategy here,” Black said. “It’s all about a custom approach for every deal, meticulously crafted for the win.”

While she actively receives local and national industry recognitions, such as “D Magazine” Best Realtor & Top Producer and Realty Properties Resource Top 500, Black says what truly matters is how that translates into benefits for her clients.

“My guild membership with the Institute of Luxury Home Marketing and my status as a broker reflect my commitment to providing my clients with top-notch service and expertise,” she said. “Think of it as having a seasoned competitor in your corner, someone who’s a relentless advocate in it to win — for the deal, the home, and ultimately, for my clients.

Family and Personal Life

“My home is my sanctuary and I truly love where I live. My life is enriched by the presence of my adorable tail-wagging loved ones: Billi Love and Jonni Joy. They really live up to their name and bring so much love and joy to our home,” she said.

Among Black’s favorite things in life is walking her beloved dogs daily around the neighborhood and in the park.

“I’ve had the privilege of sharing the last 18 remarkable years with my other half, a person with a strong finance background from Wall Street and an alumnus of SMU,” she said. “We have an abundance of love, laughter, and support for each other and it makes our house a home.”

Beyond the realm of real estate, her passions are diverse. She has an ardent love for the arts, encompassing movies, music, and the vibrant arts scene in Dallas. She admires competitions and roots for her home teams, the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks, Stars, and Wings.

“I like being in the arena, too,” she said.

As a hobby, she competes in poker tournaments, often taking part in professional poker events. She is anxious to hear more about the recent purchase of the Dallas Mavericks by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation.

“Game theory and strategy fire me up. This is how I am wired – to excel in high-stakes environments, whether it’s the World Series of Poker or the luxury real estate market,” she said. “I am always seeking that ‘W for my clients and myself.”

Industry Rewards and Challenges

“My clients are good at what they do and their time is valuable. They want someone as passionate about real estate as they are about their line of work,” Black noted. “If I ever need an expert in their field I will call them and when they need an expert in real estate they call me. The real estate industry today offers both remarkable rewards and unique challenges.”

Black said her reward lies in helping clients achieve their real estate goals while navigating an ever-evolving market and its intricacies.

“To me, a great experience is built on several pillars: convenience, consistency, expertise, friendliness, and, most importantly, the personal touch,” she said. “I strive to create genuine connections and make the process of buying or selling real estate feel uniquely tailored to each individual.”

Future Predictions

Black noted that Texas is now one of only two U.S. states with a population of 30 million or more. She said that in the upcoming years, the Texas Triangle (Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio) will become a well-known “mega-region.”

“This area is set to undergo a significant transformation as projections indicate a substantial population increase of approximately 3.5 million residents by 2030,” she said. “In the years ahead, it’s all about the Texas Triangle’s metropolitan areas and the state of Texas rolling up their sleeves together, like good neighbors, to work on our shared goals.

“It might take some friendly cooperation, but hey, there’s a lot of promise in that collaboration!” she says. “All signs point to a dynamic and promising future for DFW’s real estate market.”
