Twenty miles from downtown Fort Worth is the town of Aledo, Texas. Established in 1880 as the Parker Post Office, the name was changed to Aledo most likely after Aledo, Illinois. The entire town is roughly two square miles in size.

Being relatively close to Fort Worth, Aledo experienced rapid growth in the 1990s when families started moving west for the same reasons most people move to the suburbs — schools and more affordable homes with a little more land to enjoy.

Currently, the Aledo High School Bearcat football team has won 11 Texas State Championships, with 10 of those victories occurring since 2019.

Aledo Home Prices

As interest has increased, so have home prices in the town and surrounding areas. Neighborhoods such as Parks of Aledo, Walsh, and Morningside have greatly increased the overall population. The median home price in Aledo (Parker County) is just north of $450,000. Nearly 50 percent of homes selling in Aledo are priced from $400,000 to $750,000.

Don’t worry, there are still quality housing options in Aledo that are under $400,000. This is why we’re shining a light on a home located inside the Aledo city limits at 408 E. Oak St. It’s a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home of 1,504 square feet priced at $349,900.

Great House For a Budget Price

The home also has a spacious bonus room that is being used as a playroom. Not to be left out, the backyard features a covered patio and outdoor grilling area.

So often in Tarrant County Tuesday we feature these massive homes that carry an equally massive sticker price. As interest rates continue to be unstable and rising, and home prices aren’t dropping at the same pace, this home is a wonderful opportunity to live in Aledo in a spacious and flexible home that has beautiful updates without breaking the budget.
