This Single Story In North Dallas Is Open Concept Inside and Out

We’re headed to North Dallas, where we found this sprawling single-story in Country Brook right off the Tollway. It’s Bent Tree adjacent and has been reimagined into an open-concept stunner.

The owners put a lot of thought into the remodel and created a space that feels fresh and modern without feeling stark and cold.

There are built-ins that don’t look like built-ins with lighted displays and additional storage, and two corner units in the breakfast nook that are the perfect anchors to the room AND give you that ever-necessary flat-top surface for serving with even more storage underneath.

The dining room is separated from the breakfast nook by a wall and could easily be converted into an office or study.

Real talk there are two stars of this show – the aforementioned kitchen with the most subtly neutral marble countertops. You know the kind, totally interesting but just hanging out like no big deal, I’m just perfectly neutral and elevate the heck out of this space? They’re those kind.

The kitchen opens to an incredible living room with an Austin stone fireplace and two built-ins on either side.

Now, second star? The backyard. What and also WHAT? Step outside the sliding glass door to a Coolcrete open-air space that could more than likely house your to-be-discovered Bocce ball obsession. Take a few steps and oh, what’s this? It’s a completely covered outdoor kitchen and table with a fire feature??! Heck yes it is.

Take a few more steps and dive into one of the most gorgeous pools I’ve seen in all my years on this Earth. There’s a water feature, the most unusual shape and it’s BIG. Meaning lots of water. Meaning bring it, Texas heat. This one is going to stay cool.

One final thing the owners did outback that’s a little stroke of genius – they opened up the backyard to the driveway, fenced in the side yard, and added an electronic gate that goes across the driveway. It makes the entire outdoor space feel just like the inside – OPEN AS HECK.

Quick prediction – This one won’t last. Huggins Realty’s Kenneth Huggins has 4216 Firebrick Lane listed for $699,900. Check it out on Sunday at the Open House from 1 to 3 p.m.
